[thread] dates? i heard they're a lot like raisins
Who: Greed and Orihime
What: They have a "date" aka Orihime eats everything
When: The day after the fight between Ichigo and Greed
Where: Um, starting at Orihime's room, then who knows where?
Rating: PG?
It was almost noon, and Orihime had made sure not to eat very much that morning. If they really were going to a donut shop, or a pizza place, or something, she had to save some extra room for more food. She wasn't sure if this was considered a "date", because they weren't going to a movie or anything, and she just met him, but...that's what he called it, hadn't he? Did she need to bring dates?
She hadn't told Ichigo, because really, he and Greed clearly did not get along. Not wanting to worry the orange-haired boy, it was just better to keep quiet. Maybe while they were out, she could find something fun to bring back to him? He had been so nice with showing her around and everything, and Greed was just thanking her for helping him get back in tip-top shape.
Then why did she feel kind of guilty?
Shaking those thoughts from her head, Orihime shut her journal with finality. No, she would not worry, and just have a good time eating a lot of food. And she would not keep thinking that she should be concentrating on finding a way back, she would just have fun.
There had been a surprising amount of clothing in the closet that she had never noticed before, but decided to put them to good use. Stuffing away the uniform Ulquiorra had originally given her to some deep, dark corner of the large closet - hopefully never to be seen again - she instead wore a simple long skirt, a t-shirt with a cartoon kitten on it, and a light jacket.
"Alright! Now, where did I put the dates..."

"Alright! Now, where did I put the dates..."

no subject
"Oi, you in? It's me, Greed. You ready?" he asked, smoothing back his hair. A useless gesture, as it immediately sprang back into normal shape.
"I'm here, just like I said."
no subject
"Ah, hi!" the orange-haired girl said happily, bouncing into place as she held onto her own hands. "I'm aaalll ready~! Expect I got some dates and I don't remember where I put them, which is really weird since I don't have much in here that would be easy to lose dates in..."
no subject
"Glad you could come out with me," he grinned, glancing up, "You're absolutely beautiful!"
He quickly stood and offered her a bouquet of roses.
"You got a vase you could put these in?"
no subject
"Ah-hh...th-thank you for inviting me!" she said a little nervously, taking the flowers with a deep nod of thanks. They smelled so fresh! "Wah, they're so pretty!" She, however, was notorious for killing plants no matter how hard she tried, but she would just try again.
"Mmm...yes! I have a big cup!" That tended to be what she used back home as well. Quickly rushing inside, she found the large cup in question and filled it full of water. Carefully taking the bouquet, she placed it gently in the water, fluffing the petals up a bit. With a smile, she hopped back over.
"Thank you so much! You didn't have to do all this just for me..."

"Ah, Kurosaki-kun said that the elevators won't eat us! Eight floors is a lot unless we can fly, right?"
no subject
no subject
"Ahh, can we?" she asked excitedly waving her arms around. "We won't die, will we?"
no subject
Okay, he wasn't an expert, but he WAS superhuman. Apparently that made him qualified for everything. At least he thought so.
"Hop on my back," he said, getting on his knees, "Be sure to hold on. We're going to movin' pretty fast."
no subject
"...Okay!" she said happily. Taking a moment to figure out the best way, she carefully got onto his back piggyback-style.
no subject
"The only way to travel!" he laughed, rebounded off the wall at one point to land on the roof of a smaller building. He bounced down several more before arriving at ground level.
"Well? Whaddaya' think?"
no subject
Her hair was an absolute mess, and her cheeks were a little rosy, but she looked quite happy.
"Wow! It was better than a roller coaster!!"
no subject
"I love that part. So, you ready for food?"
no subject
"Mhm!" she hummed affirmative with a nod. "Where are we going?"
no subject
He walked ahead of her, leading her through the bustling town a short distance. They stopped in front of a large oak door.
"Right through here," he said, pointing to a sign over the entrance that said, "The Steer."
A host greeted them at the door and guided them to a waiting table. Greed had made reservations ahead of time.
"Here," he said, pulling out a seat for her.
no subject
"Ah, thank you," she said, taking the offer seat and scooting herself in. Still looking around like she had never been in a restaurant before, gray eyes blinked as she stared up at the light above their table. "Wow...this is all really detailed and everything!" An odd comment, but for someone who was still walking in a dream it made perfect sense to her.
A waitress came up not a few seconds later, asking them if they would like to start off with something to drink.
"Umm..." she thought for a minute, "Water is fine," the orange-haired girl said with a wave of her hand.
no subject
"I gotta' know, chick. Why are you so calm about all this? You're really adjustin' well."
no subject
"Huh? Oh," she started, dropping her hands to her lap. "Well, I've had weirder dreams than this and it's a lot nicer than all the dreams I've been having recently, so I want to enjoy it while I can!"
no subject
"...Chick, this ain't a dream. At all. It's not. NOT. A. DREAM. You're really here."
no subject
"A magical castle that has friendly ghosts that give you whatever you want? And all my friends are here...I've missed them a lot and they've all been--" she paused, brows scrunching a bit in worry. "They're here and they're okay...and Kurosaki-kun isn't acting like himself at all, and there are all these people who know me and are my friends, but I don't even know them. A closet full of clothes that I like but never bought? And they're--and the people...some people I don't want to see aren't here."
She looked down at the table, ignoring the glass of water. "That sounds like a dream to me...It's been really long, but I don't want to wake up."
no subject
He kept his eyes locked on hers, feral slits dilating to focus on her.
"Do you understand? There's nothin' any of us can do but wait this thing out."
no subject
"...Real...?" The grain of the wood traced beneath her fingertips, it was so detailed and so realistic. She had been amazed by the realism of this dream, but she had never really considered. "...But...that--it can't be..."
no subject
"Just drink your water and relax. You look tense."
no subject
"But...then--Kurosaki-kun...but he's not acting like himself?" Orihime looked concerned, despite the faint blush that took to her cheeks at the memory of the other day, when Ichigo had done the unthinkable. "He's--he would never do things like that...how can that be real?"
no subject
The moment he reached for the wine he stopped, his hand frozen inches from it.
"...DAMN IT!" he yelled, cursing his luck, "That's what I mean. I can't touch alcohol, here. This place TOOK my ability to handle it. I can't drink it, I can't even touch a bottle of it."
"Maybe Ichigo had a memory or part of his personality taken. It happens."
