[THREAD] i didn't care where i was going;
Who: Akito (
fangedking) & Nagi (
devilprodigy)
What: Pets, who knew?
When: This morning. |D
Where: Nagi's room.
Rating: PG, srsly.
As with most things that had to do with social interaction outside of strictly business, Nagi was loomed over by the perpetual thought that he was doing it wrong.
Still, Akito wasn't so bad, he guessed. Sure, he was going to be stuck in a room with a hyper and questionably oriented individual for the next who-knows-how-long, but it would be on a subject he understood and Akito seemed to lend himself easily to conversation anyway. Otherwise, Akito knew lots of people and might be worth knowing in the future. Why not, Nagi decided.
...then again, Akito was really kind of weird. Especially because sometimes, Nagi would talk to him or read his conversations for a while and be totally convinced Akito was a boy--then he'd do something like squeal with joy or talk about how pretty something was or exhibit some behavior generally associated with girls, and it'd throw Nagi off.
Ignatius was snoozing in the heated corner of his tank, completely oblivious to the fact that he'd have to deal with someone new prodding their fingers into his cage and disturbing his daily routine. Nagi wondered how he'd react to Akito.
He'd soon find out, he supposed.

He pulled the door open and blinked, for a moment, at the boy in front of him. His mind did a double-take, but then decided yes, Akito was definitely a boy, despite his... Odd taste in clothing. He was oddly small, too, so Nagi couldn't quite place his age. After a moment he realized he should probably stop looking at him and say something.
"Hello," he bowed a little, as was customary in greeting, "Nice to finally see you. Come on in." he stepped to the side and gestured to the inside of his room.

He stepped back into it a moment later, though, the usual blank, almost bored expression on his face, "It's kind of nice to have so much room to put him in," he said, crossing over to the tank, "he doesn't get so bored, at least."
He looked through the glass for a moment and placed his hand on the side, "He'll be up in a minute or two, sorry," he apologized for his lizard's current lack of activity while sent a soft telekinetic wave through the glass and towards Ignatius, just enough to nudge him awake, "he's kind of lazy in the mornings."
He stepped back and looked at Akito over his shoulder, letting him know with a gesture of his arm that he could step closer to watch if he wanted.
"Um... Akito, what happened to your eye?" he said curiously after a moment, but then added, "If it's not too much to ask, or anything."
no subject
Nagi looked back down at the lizard for a little bit. He wondered vaguely if Akito had any powers at all that were interesting. It wasn't just something he could ask out of the blue, though, so he continued on that line of thought without looking back up.
"Who's Agito? Your friend?"
He was pretty sure he knew who Agito was; the irritated one. His eye must've been his loss when coming to Paradisa--or something associated with it.
Ignatius opened his eyes and waved his head around lazily, smelling the air and starting to move from the rock he was perched on. He noticed Akito there almost immediately, staring at him sideways. He looked a bit how Nagi felt: perpetually bored.
"You could probably pet him if you want. Just don't make any sudden movements, or anything." He walked off towards the far corner of the tank, "I'll get the food."

He reached into the shelves below the exhibit, pulling out a couple of containers. The first was filled with live grasshoppers (he could think of several people who would have flinched at the container) and another was a bag full of shellfish.
"Hold this for a second," he handed the bag off to Akito and pulled a screen-top over the cage, putting the insects in and opening the lid right before he sealed it, "he'll eat as many of those as he can for about fifteen minutes, and then you can feed him some of those."
He pointed to the bag and patted off his hands, "he seems to like you, so there won't be any problems." He looked sideways at the lizard. "I still think 'cute' is an odd adjective for him, though."
no subject
"Hm." He looked absently at the lizard as well for a while, before wondering if he shouldn't continue the conversation further. He couldn't think of anything, though, and wasn't exactly going to worry himself with finding something he didn't necessarily need anyway.
Then the silence got a bit odd, and he sighed lightly before going on, "So how long have you been here, anyway? In Paradisa, I mean?"
