Who: Natalia (
myroyalname) & Irvine (
valiant_smile)
What: going to help Natalia after her crash
When: ...after her crash
Where: 1st floor
Rating: PG
After being informed that the last remark he'd made was not funny at all, Irvine just grinned and slid his journal away from himself. Even if he'd had something better to do that night, it wouldn't have been right of him to have just left Natalia down there. Castle losses were a pain in the ass he knew (although he himself had yet experience an additional one since his arrival) and they could be especially rough when you were new.
This still somewhere in mind, Irvine sat himself down on the edge of his bed and slipped on his shoes. He would've grabbed his hat before leaving too, but it was getting to be later on in the day. Hats were normally a daytime thing for him. And wearing them inside unneccessarily? That was kind of like...wearing sunglasses at night.
"You're going off on a tangent, cowboy." he muttered to himself, grinning somewhat. He'd been talking to Zell too much if he was even starting to call himself that. "And you should really get a move on already."
Closing his door securely behind him, Irvine walked to the stairs and begin the way down. He could've just taken the elevator but, then again, he didn't know anything about Natalia. What if she was from one of those worlds that didn't have things like that? No point in freaking her out. Besides, it was only a couple of floors down; after so-and-so many months, he was used to it.
Reaching the first floor in practically no time at all, Irvine glanced around. Just what kind of girl was he looking for, anyway?
"Probably should have asked." Oh well. "Natalia?"

"Ow!" Really, she wasn't clumsy. It was a clever trick of the castle's to make her that clumsy in the first place, and once the majority of the painful grimace she had given vanished, she glared at the floor and at the shattered statue that she shouldn't have been able to destroy in the first place.
"Here I am," Natalia finally called back, sounding flustered and angry. And she was! How could she be expected to do anything when all of the sudden she didn't even have to move at all to cause damage to the area around her, as well as herself!
What a disgraceful state to be in.

Wow. How a girl that small could make a mess that big...well, it was the kind of thing that he'd only ever seen in Paradisa. But, he should probably stop wondering away at that and actually help her out before she hurt herself anymore than she already was.
"Alright, just...hold still." She was probably going to scold him every single time he made a remark like that, but he really couldn't help it. He even tried wiping the slight grin off his face, but that didn't seem to be working either.
Who was it that Natalia reminded him of?
Irvine put the thought on hold as he got to Natalia's side and knelt down to start clearing away some of the rubble from the statue that was still around. Better safe than sorry, any day.
"That should help." he stated, after a moment, and held out his hand. "Did you still want to go see the town, or should I just help you up to your room?"

Truth be told, she was still tempted to leave an apology notice for whomever took care of the castle. It was, after all, rude to leave behind something broken when you were a guest (or prisoner)... "I do hope they don't mind... I didn't mean to destroy this statue," she said, taking a step towards one of the pieces--
And she managed to stumble over her own feet in the process. Natalia sighed in frustration, though glad she had caught herself before she skinned her knees or worse, and stomped her foot on the ground. "This is not right! And don't you dare laugh!" she said with an accusing pout towards Irvine.

He was trying harder now not to be amused. Really, he was trying, but it was so hard. She sounded so mortified at the thought of appearing unseemly around others, that it threatened to make him more than grin.
"Really, don't worry about it." Irvine said, indicating the rubble dismissively. "People do a lot worse than this on a pretty regular basis, when they figh-whoah there!"
Thankfully, Natalia had managed to catch herself before she fell. Why was it that when people told you not to laugh, you wanted to even more?
"Hey, does it look like I'm laughing?" he replied, putting on an innocent look. "But I guess that does rule out town. It's nicer to see when you can actually get around."
That settled, the gunman turned his head to glance over at the stairs.
"What floor are you on?" he asked. "If it's not many up, I'm sure the two of us can make it alright, but if it's something like the twentieth...might want to just use the elevator."
