He hadn't expected things to be so quiet.
Maybe the castle had, at last, concluded itself amused and said, "Enough is enough," but Mahaado doubted it. It certainly hadn't been because of his change that the chaos had stopped; that was due to the very brave actions of others. He'd been so lucky. From what the former priest could tell, the Pharaoh was safe enough, though his more recent companions had not yet been accounted for.
For now, however, there was one precious individual who needed his help.
In ka form, he was not precisely ghostly, but a slight glow around his form gave that impression, as well as his floating. On the bright side, it made navigating the innumerable stairs a great deal easier; on the bad side, it made him even more conspicuous than before.
A..."ninja" , I am not, he thought, remembering his conversation with Ino.
He reached the fourteenth floor with ease, and surveyed the ravaged surroundings with his usual, stoic expression. The hall was lined with a good many doors; they did not, however, trouble Mahaado. He simply raised his free hand and focused his heka, searching for Mana's prescence amidst the rubble. When he found it, he concentrated, and the door to the closet, for lack of a better word, exploded open. He was at the doorway in an instant, gray eyes searching for his apprentice.

"Master?" She called, seeing the ka form of her Master in front of her. Mana stepped out of the closet, ridding her skirt of the debris from the door.
"Is that you? I'm so glad to see you!"

"Ah, well...I suppose I have some explaining to do," he murmured.
