Serious Business
Who: Light and L
When: Sometime after this thread
Where: L's room
Summary: Light needs to discuss a problem that's arisen due to his "restful" sleeping.
Rating: Mmm, PG most likely.
Light wasn't one to worry much over things his subconscious showed him while he slept. Dreams were a normal part of the development of the human mind, after all, and shouldn't be taken so seriously.
But when unearthly voices began whispering in ones head, it was time to pay attention. And since he was... more than a little troubled by what they said, he had two choices: ignore them (which wasn't working and making him all the more concerned about his sanity) or talk to someone to find out if his concerns were unfounded or not.
And he honestly trusted L to tell him the truth about this.
Sighing to himself and shifting the tray he'd snagged from the kitchen, he knocked lightly on L's door.

L could have refused the other right away but...
His curiosity, and hypothesis and... well, yes. He wanted to see what was it that Light wanted to discuss. As long as the Death Note was safe right now... there was nothing to worry about.
Well, except for Misa, L didn't trust her.
[ooc: I apologise for the delay T__T *been busy*]

Hearing movement on the other side of the door, Light knocked again softly and turned the knob on the door to test it. Finding it unlocked didn't really worry him; this place was strange and people had died, but so far as he knew no one had been dragged from their room to disappear into nothingness!
"L-kun?" he called quietly as he pushed the door open. "It's Light." And there really wasn't much more he could say at the moment, because he had his... nightly 'discourses' in his head and he didn't want to talk about this in the hallway.

"Yeah." L replied after a while, "Come in." he streched slightly but remained where he was, half-slumped on the floor against the bed. He was honestly too tired to make much effort to pay attention to his guest right now.
L peered up at the man who had well, won, and wondered why exactly he was here.
Was Kira playing a new game now? L wouldn't put it past him, not all the pieces were together but...

The teenager lifted his head and frowned slightly. As much as he wanted to talk, to find out if something important was missing from his mind, he didn't want to be a nuisance. "I didn't wake you, did I?" he asked. "I'm sorry."
Sorry, but still needing to talk.

He glanced up at the other, then at the tray, he crouched his way over there and took a sugar cube popping it into his mouth without any explanation. Only when he was done with it he looked at Light again.
"What's wrong?"

He took a sip of the tea - slightly bitter - and put the cup back down before looking back up at L. "I think," he said quietly, "that I may be going mad. Unless, of course, the castle really is talking to me, although should that be the case I may still be going mad."

Well who knew?
Maybe.

He picked up his cup again, took another drink. Still slightly bitter to his tongue, and he absently dropped a single sugar cube in it to watch it dissolve. There was more he needed to say, but he needed to word it properly.
"It tells me things I don't remember, never clearly remember upon waking," Light admitted, voice still low. "Am I a bad person?"
