Thread: Cloud and Leon
Who: Cloud and Leon.
What: ... Fighting. For realz.
When: NOWZ. [ after this.]
Where: Outside the city. Because they don't want to end up making the Castle... explode. Body parts are ok though.
Rating: Um. Probably R. This ain't gonna be pretty.
Notes: Fight will last for three days.
Leon’s gun blade was slung over his shoulder in an easy--though hardly carefree--manner, a familiar weight amidst all the unfamiliarity that seemed to be the building block of Cair Paradisa. He felt neither fear nor apprehension, excitement nor joy, for the upcoming event. Instead, there was a feel of apathy curling around himself. Perhaps he would win, perhaps he would not. All that mattered was survival in the end.
… Actually, he just really wanted to beat the Hell out of Cloud. Though the grip on his weapon was relaxed, his chest felt tight. He had a lot of tension in his body that needed releasing, and he had not fought with another person since his arrival.
Lions need to fight, to dominate their territory. And while birdy Cloud might not be a lion, he was the best candidate. Leon had fought with Cloud before, albeit usually on the same side and never to a fatal end, so he knew many of the blonde’s attacks. And his own training had done him some good, allowing him to get used to his lack of hearing. His eyesight felt sharper, and what he could not see with his eyes he was in the habit of sensing with his body.
But, he had never fought against Cloud’s true darkness, either.
These were Leon’s musings as he descended the flights of stairs within Cair Paradisa, across the main hallway, outside the city where they were to fight. He liked to have a plan, to know his opponent, as he was a charger in fights and a battle such a this didn’t leave room for analyzing and taking notes.
He removed his gun blade from his shoulder to grip it firmly with his one hand, and gazed around to catch sight of the blonde.

And he wasn't about to start making excuses, either.
Call it pride, call it stupidity, call it Leon.
He didn't hear Cloud, but when the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end and the tightening in his chest constricted even further, he knew whose presence he was in. He half turned, gunblade returning to his shoulder and free hand landing on his belted hip.
"Hey."

There was no charge, however, with the stance. With Cloud's sight gone, Leon knew the strain one had to put on the other senses. Cloud couldn't do anything without "finding" him first. Thus, Leon slid into his own stance from his relaxed position, gunblade hilt held by both his hands. His feet were spread and planted firmly in the grass before he sucked in breath and sprinted towards the other.

spatulalarge sword swing down to him.He crouched and slammed the sharp end of his blade into the earth, driving it in until it was stable enough to aid in at least slowing Cloud’s attack. His right hand was kept right on the hilt, arm tensed and ready for the brief transfer of force between the two swords. As soon as Cloud’s thick sword touched his, Leon’s leg shot out, foot flat on the surface of the blade. He used Cloud’s transferring force to leap, free hand palming the ground as he swung his body away from the blade in a flip, right arm ripping his gun blade from the ground in his movements.
He landed out of harms way (for now), though his entire right arm ached from the strength of his pull. He was quick to regain his footing, slipping into a defensive stance. He couldn’t keep charging, not with Cloud.
