[Thread] Kuja and Byakuya
Who: Kuja and Byakuya
What: Losing control~
When: After this~
Warnings: Maybe PG-13 for Kuja's lack of control and gay-ness~ :D
Where: Kuja's room, 311
Kuja closed his journal gingerly, tightening a lithe, feminine hand around the writing pen, feeling the smooth material snapping resolutely beneath his fingers. Of course, he didn't look particularily strong, but his appearance belied the sheer power that boiled beneath his surface.
Certainly, he had changed quite a bit since he had destroyed Terra and attempted to end all existance, but that was why he felt he needed help. The trance...he didn't believe he could control himself during the period of extreme emotion...he could feel it. His brother had learned to control it, and himself during the experience, but he knew rather resolutely that he could not.
Perhaps it was because Zidane had been a more advanced weapon...or simply because of his particular soul, but for whatever the reason, he could not control himself...
He swallowed slowly. 'Please, get here soon', he thought inwardly, hands tightening, tail curling. He didn't know how much longer he could last. It was encompasing him, driving him mad.

His trance...he didn't enjoy letting anybody know...and if the little summoner girl found out...well...he doubted she would be very happy in the first place.
"Thank you, for coming," he said softly, shutting the door behind the man. If it were any other time, he may have sent him an appreciative glance, but his mind was clouded, foggy.
All that he could think of was that he was a Genome, an imperfection, a monster.
His hands tightened, his tail curled.

Turning to face Kuja, Byakuya stated, calmly but authoritatively, "I would ask that you explain to me the extent of what may happen in this trance."
With any luck, simple Bakudou would work; he did not wish to call up his reiatsu and press that weight on the majority of the castle.

"Last time...I destroyed a planet," he admitted, shaking his head. Last time, he had been selfish, and he hadn't realized what would happen, and yet...yet he had a feeling that it would be the same thing, again. He didn't believe for a minute that he would be able to control himself.

"You will be more comfortable if you lie down on your side, on your bed."
Releasing the Kyoumon on the window and opening it, he turned back to Kuja. "When you are ready, I will bind you using my Kidou, then I will start to try and siphon off this power of yours."

"I-If I change...don't...be alarmed...it always happens," he managed to mumble softly.
He was nervous. Beyond nervous. He could feel his own tail batting back and forth nervously beneath his clothing, and he hoped Byakuya wouldn't notice it.
He hated it when people noticed his tail. He hated it. He wanted to rip it out, rip out...
He could feel it starting...the fury...
He shut his eyes with worry.

The usual result of arms being drawn behind the back, and legs and knees bent at ninety degrees, the effect in place, Byakuya drew up the chair from the room's desk, and sat down. Placing a hand on Kuja's arm and keeping a firm grip, he started to focus, and blur the distinction between Kuja's and his power.

The feeling of being more than one place, linked with the power of this man, he swallowed, eyes wide, blue crystals that shimmered with tears and fear.
The power...his...Byakuya's...he couldn't believe it.
It was...glorious. New. Unlike anything he had ever gained.
It was maddening.
He felt the trance bubble, and the crimson fur started to peek out of his skin, power practically radiating off.
Would he lose himself?

Brushing aside the thought, he focused their shared power, and called out the incantation of a Kidou.
"Bone of a straggling beast, spire, crimson crystal, disc of steel, when the wind shifts, and the emptiness ceases, let the clash of lances resonate through the relinquished castle... Hadou no Rokujuusan, Raikouhou!"
Byakuya remembered the bolt of lightning Shiba Kuukaku had called down on Aizen when she showed up. Where it had simply crackled into existance, the thunder from this bolt blew wind into the room, and it was a wonder that there was no shattering of glass.

His power surged, eyes wide and a hazy blue prevented him from seeing anything. Last time he had been able to see...but this time it was like euphoria. There was no control.
What he did know however, was that his clothing was in shreds, and his body covered in fur, tail taut and extended.
When he had destroyed Terra, it had been out of rage, anger that he would eventually die. This time...he felt angry because...of a reason he couldn't fathom. He simply was, and the prospect only served to fuel his fury even more.

It was difficult, but he was starting to get a foothold on the monumentous power. Calling down Raikouhou again, and enlarging its crater, then further pouring off power with a pointed finger and the command of, "Hadou no Yon, Byakurai!", Byakuya centered his focus, and began trying to directly quash, contain, and otherwise repress the immense power the two of them shared.

He felt as if he was drowning. Back when he had first begun to cast spells, he had been amazed at the power he had been able to wield. He had run to Garland proudly, ready to display his newfound abilities in flares! Afterall, he had been nothing more than a child.
Unfortunately, he had learned too late, and his creator had decided that he was relatively useless, and had already begun his work on a brand new "Angel of Death".
How detestable.
Fury and anguish rose within him, hate, pain, he leeched off the power of both himself and Byakuya.
How much power had the trance taken...how much had it affected him the first time.
Would he die?
no subject
This time, however, he did not stop once the spell had completed. Forcing it to continue, he forged as close as he could a direct link between the blast of lightning and his and Kuja's shared energy, guiding, then forcing it out into the sky in brilliant light.

[OOC: New comment because those tiny text areas? Kinda... annoying.
Nodding sagely, he stated calmly, "Should you not wish to continue, I understand that such work leads to many problems."
[ooc: lol <3]
Of course, he supposed he didn't help by wearing eyeliner and makeup.
That wasn't the point, though. The point was that he didn't fit in anywhere. "All my life, I wanted to be noticed," he murmured softly. "But I was a failure," he choked on the word.
no subject
"Failure is not an absolute. You may very well find that if you look beyond the standards of whatever created you, and you can succeed in your own right. Many here consider this place a burden, a bane, because of their losses. Consider that you have, by being brought here, lost the ties that necessarily bind you to said creator."
Again waiting a moment to sip his drink and let his words sink in, Byakuya then continued, "I would show you something. You perhaps felt last night some of my power."
Drawing his Zanpakutou and aiming it towards the wall, he said, "The size of a Shinigami's Zanpakutou is based on their strength and amount of reiatsu. As such, I have learned to reign in my power. Would you care to see what happens when I neglect such? I can ensure you will not come to harm."
no subject
Kuja nodded at his offer, and blinked. This man had power, and lots of it, it was interesting, but he had been inches away from the crystal of everything. He...He had stood on the precipice of destroying everything...but he hadn't.
Power was only one part of it all, even if it was an important part.
no subject
Calling his reiatsu back in check, the blade shrunk back down, and Byakuya sheathed it. The hole could easily be seen through, and it had punched clear through the hallway and into the room beyond.
"Thus why power is great, and the need for control is greater. Even when it is that size and that powerful, I can wield my Zanpakutou without difficulty, because of how I control my power. The difficulty is not in obtaining power, but in controlling it. I believe you well understand this."
no subject
He felt like he was grasping at straws in this place. As if no matter how many handfuls of sand he retrieved, he still only had a few grains left, nothing to even truly hold more than a few loose grains.
"I did not always understand it," he admitted softly. "Only before my death did I realize truths like this, I'm afraid," he sighed.

There had to be an answer. In spite of the fact that the traitor Aizen was trying to disprove such, there was some truth in a statement he had made just prior - that everything had a limit. With a limit known, Byakuya knew he could find an answer.
no subject
"I only achieved it once, and then, I had complete control...well, as much control as one could have when they are on a genocidal onslaught," he said, not at all happy to mention that particular mistake.

Clearing his head with a sip of his drink, his brow furrowed as he mused aloud, "Then the issue is not in finding clarity, but in finding either a receptacle, or a way to contain the power such that it can be released safely."
no subject
"It broke," he whimpered, looking into his hands.
