Who: Remus, Cagalli, Mahaado and Yami
What: Checking on Remus
When: After this and this.
Where: Room 1317
Rating: PG to PG-13
Cagalli was soon running up the first flight of stairs after talking to Remus and some friend of his. The guy seemed nice enough, so she figured extra help would come in handy in case some really was wrong.
Room 1317, luckily, was only two floors up from hers. 'Maybe,' she thought as she rounded the corner and started up the next flight, 'I'm worrying a bit too much. He said it was just ink, so that's nothing to be overly concerned about...'
Nodding to herself, Cagalli slowed from a run to a jog. She glanced around her, noting that this floor was basically the same as hers. It didn't surprise her, as the rest of the castle was similar and pretty monotonous after a while. She hoped the inside of the rooms looked different at least.
She finally stopped when she came to the correct room. Like hers, it had the room number with the occupants name below it in fancy lettering. There was nothing outside to indicate something was wrong, so she figured that is was a good sign.
Knocking on the door loudly, she called out, "Hey, Remus! It's Cagalli. Can I come in?"

He wasn't sure when he'd started bleeding. Only that he was, and it was mixing with the ink, and every word he wrote cut his hands a little deeper.
He was shaking. He turned to dictation because his shaking hands couldn't hold the quill. He couldn't grip his wand, either, and as such had no way to heal the cuts.
He was starting to feel light-headed. And angry. Angry at Zexion's cowardice, angry at his own inability to warn the castle of this sudden and entirely unexpected threat. Angry at the ink, angry at the blood.
Remus nearly jumped out of his skin at the knock on his door. He looked up from his journal where it lay on the floor in front of him. The pages were oozing ink, and he hadn't been able to keep hold of it. Now he was horrified, thinking of what sort of picture he made....
He'd almost forgotten Cagalli had asked him his room number. Now she was going to think he'd lied about bleeding all along when really, he hand't, and.. and..
Remus shut his eyes, not bothering to stand from his kneeling position on the floor. He just sat back on his heels and called out, "Yes, but I swear to you, this is not exactly what it looks like...."

"Master?"
"Mahaado. I told you to remain in bed."
"I am ill, master...my stomach pains me."
"Have I not taught you spells for healing? My student. When you take my place as priest, you must not allow such trifles to interfere with your duties. Learn to correct them on your own, lest you be a burden to those you must protect. Now, do not trouble me!"
Mahaado grimaced at the memory. Perhaps this is why I am so lenient with Mana, he reflected. But he paused, doubling over at the top of the stairwell. "Nngh...!"
Perhaps I should not even attempt to come...if I am to only be a burden...
