Thread: [D.Gray-man people and others, hopefully]

Who: Ravi and open to anyone else?
What: Setting out to find Miwako and Yachiru, hopefully. Also hopefully running into fellow D.Gray-man and other people? >>
When: Masquerade time. Probably early on.
Where: Around the place and the ballroom?
Rating: PG-13, just in case?

Ravi fixed his mask into place and left his room. He probably had Miwako and Yachiru to meet up with first, as promised, before they went to join any of the others - spotting and recognizing at least some of them shouldn't be that hard, even with masks and different clothes.

Speaking of which, Misa had pretty good taste in outfits.

On one hand, it did feel weird, spending time on something like this while the Earl and his minions were around. While Kanda was still recovering from his injuries, still not fully healed yet. But on the other hand, if there was a chance that the Earl was going to send out any more Akuma, it made sense to keep an eye on crowds of people, here and in the city. Akuma had to kill to evolve, after all. Plus, there was that Ansem guy.

And if this was some kind of trap, they'd have to find out sometime soon.

His hammer was where it always was, ready to be used if he ended up needing it.

No reason not to have any fun in the meantime, though. Ravi wasn't naive enough to expect or hope for the evening to go completely without a hitch in every way, but he wasn't the type to be pessimistic, either. Whatever happened happened and you had to deal with it when it came, right? So far, nothing had turned bad tonight. Maybe it was going to last.

He couldn't resist coming to the aid of someone who needed help. Besides, it would be fun to do something around here besides being utterly confused. So, he was to go to the ninth floor and help Yachiru. Apparently someone named Raby was helping too? He shrugged and kept walking, his weapon resting on one shoulder. Humming a little as he searched.

Miwako quickly glued the last little jewel to her mask. (Ahh, last-minute finishing touches. How they always seemed to happen.) She put it on her face, taking great care not to mess up her hair which she had so carefully prepared earlier. Her long curly pink hair was up in a high ponytail, so it was difficult, but she soon got the mask on and stumbled out the door.

As soon as she made it out, however, she realized something. Ravi would be wearing a mask too. How was she going to find him if she couldn't tell who he was? Miwako was pretty sure her bright pink hair would give it away, but there were a couple different redheads she had seen, and she would be embarrassed to glomp come up to them only to find it wasn't Ravi at all. She blew some air out of the corner of her mouth before slowly venturing down the hallway towards the stairs. Maybe she could catch him on the stairs.

Yachiru skipped down the 9th floor hallway impatiently. Her zanpakuto dragging behind her. The castle was being especially mean today. It made dead ends led her into wrong rooms turned up to down. A truely cruel place! But she was assured Raby and Nana would come to rescue help her out of this terrible mess.

Sadly, however, in the process of wandering the castle trying to get to the masquerade Yachiru's costume recieved a bit of a beating. The bottoms were torn from her almost tripping over and then getting mad at the dress. Dust and little pieces of debris had also took it's toll on the dress from the small tantrums Yachiru had against the walls. The only things unscathed were her Lieutenant badge wrapped around her small arm and her mask. All of this, of course, didn't sadden the 6 year old one bit. In fact she barely realized what happened to her outfit.

Miwako was startled by the sudden voice, especially since it was calling her name. She turned towards the person calling her name, squinting at them. The person had red hair and looked male, so maybe she was lucky enough to catch Ravi without even looking very far. The voice sounded familiar, too ... She picked up a section of her dress to keep it from dragging on the floor and walked towards what she was now assuming to be Ravi.

"Ehh?! Is this telepathy? Miwako was just looking for you, Ravi!" Of course, there was the possibility that it wasn't Ravi at all, and then she would feel kind of stupid, but at least then she could rule out one of the redheaded people in the castle.

Miwako smiled cheerfully under her mask and rushed to meet Ravi, making sure not to trip over her dress in the process. "Cosmically good timing!" she said, giggling. And it was true, they could have completely missed each other. The castle was big enough that they could have looked for a week, maybe more, without finding each other.

She adjusted her mask, it had slipped a little when she had moved so quickly. "Ravi looks very handsome tonight! ♥" Miwako commented happily before adding, "Yup! Let's go save Yachiru!" After all, it couldn't be very much fun being trapped upstairs when you could be going to the Masquerade!

Fou tugged at the folds of the disgustingly fancy dress that wrapped itself around her. Who bothered with this much fabric? It wasn't at all useful when it came to fighting, it just got in the way. It wasn't comfortable in the least, Fou felt like she was being trapped. Even worse it wasn't at all attractive, why did anyone think that it was? At least it was a nice dark color. Not quite black, but she couldn't tell if it was suppose to be dark purple or dark blue. Not like that mattered anyway.

What mattered was the fact that she had a mask covering the upper part of her face, or really, just her eyes. It matched the dress. The thing about it was, she couldn't see a damn thing out of it. She had to squint to make out where she was, and she had lost track of the number of stairs she had gone down.

In short, Fou was lost.

It was better to ask for directions than to wander around aimlessly though. Now the only difficulty she faced was finding someone who knew their way. Squinting still, she stalked through the hall in a 'don't piss me off with your stupidity' attitude.

Yachiru's impatience grew more and more. She was sitting cool and calm in a little ball until now. And that little green pill she had was looking mighty tempting. With that pill she could get to the ball in no time. Go through walls, fly, run, walk in air, be jesus, you name it. Yachiru could show this mean castle just who it was messing with. Best of all, no one here could catch her. A place full of silly humans would prove helpful for this purpose. But Yachiru had to resist. If she did she'd never get to see Raby. Well, she could, but he'd be clueless. Ah, poor mortal.

Yachiru stood up clenching the string to her sword. She took the hilt and swung it gently at the wall causing a small dent and crack in the stone. She was really bored. Something had to act as target practice. She pouted a bit and stomped down the hall. Her pacing began. Wheeling her sword back and forth. "Raaaaaabyyyyy..." Yachiru whined.

Shichiroji rounded a corner and spotted unfamiliar faces. Now, which one of them was Yachiru? The redhead with the eyepatch? Nah, that didn't seem right. He certainly didn't want to bother someone if they were meeting a sweetheart or something. But then he clearly heard a voice say "Raby". Ah, that had to be her. Shichiroji shifted the weight on his weapon and moved forward.

"Yachiru? Ah, hey." He waved his prosthetic arm at everyone in general. "I came here to help Yachiru."

"Eh?" Miwako blinked at the man waving at her and Ravi. He said he came to help Yachiru ... ah, that was what they were doing as well! They could certainly use some help. "Ah, you came to save Yachiru, too?"

She smiled and bowed in greeting. Sticking out her hand towards the unfamiliar man, she added cheerfully, "It's very nice to meet you! Miwako is Miwako, who are you?"

Yachiru stared blankly at the large group of rescuers. 1..2...3? WAAH! 3?! Yachiru was impressed. But at the same time she didn't NEED this many people to help her defeat the castle and go through the right door.

Pink hair? Someone else with PINK HAIR?! DU DU DU DU DU DUUUU! Yachiru grinned and jumped up and down pulling on Miwako's arm. She had never met anyone else with her color hair. This was a truly grand moment for the 6 year old. Even if she was with Raby, SHE HAD PINK HAIR! WHO CARES?

Yachiru let go of Miwako's arm and waved at Nana. "Hee hee. Hiii Nana! Nice to see you too!" Yachiru smiled and ran over to him and tugged his sleeve.

She eventually let go and turned back to where Miwako was. There was Raby. Yachiru smiled at him but nothing more. She closed her eyes and tried her best not to look him in the eye patch face. It just creeped her out too much. But she wouldn't let her night be ruined!

"We should get to the ball fast! Who knows what we're missing~ Hee hee. ♥" She looked at Raby's feet. Right. He wasn't too fast. "Raby, are you going to keep up this time or do I have to carry you?" Yachiru spun around nearly tripping over her torn dress. She tugged Raby's sleeve instead of looking him in the face. It was a lot easier.

"Let's go, let's go, let's goooo!"
