Thread: [D.Gray-man people and others, hopefully]
Who: Ravi and open to anyone else?
What: Setting out to find Miwako and Yachiru, hopefully. Also hopefully running into fellow D.Gray-man and other people? >>
When: Masquerade time. Probably early on.
Where: Around the place and the ballroom?
Rating: PG-13, just in case?
Ravi fixed his mask into place and left his room. He probably had Miwako and Yachiru to meet up with first, as promised, before they went to join any of the others - spotting and recognizing at least some of them shouldn't be that hard, even with masks and different clothes.
Speaking of which, Misa had pretty good taste in outfits.
On one hand, it did feel weird, spending time on something like this while the Earl and his minions were around. While Kanda was still recovering from his injuries, still not fully healed yet. But on the other hand, if there was a chance that the Earl was going to send out any more Akuma, it made sense to keep an eye on crowds of people, here and in the city. Akuma had to kill to evolve, after all. Plus, there was that Ansem guy.
And if this was some kind of trap, they'd have to find out sometime soon.
His hammer was where it always was, ready to be used if he ended up needing it.
No reason not to have any fun in the meantime, though. Ravi wasn't naive enough to expect or hope for the evening to go completely without a hitch in every way, but he wasn't the type to be pessimistic, either. Whatever happened happened and you had to deal with it when it came, right? So far, nothing had turned bad tonight. Maybe it was going to last.

As soon as she made it out, however, she realized something. Ravi would be wearing a mask too. How was she going to find him if she couldn't tell who he was? Miwako was pretty sure her bright pink hair would give it away, but there were a couple different redheads she had seen, and she would be embarrassed to
glompcome up to them only to find it wasn't Ravi at all. She blew some air out of the corner of her mouth before slowly venturing down the hallway towards the stairs. Maybe she could catch him on the stairs.no subject
rescuehelp her out of this terrible mess.Sadly, however, in the process of wandering the castle trying to get to the masquerade Yachiru's costume recieved a bit of a beating. The bottoms were torn from her almost tripping over and then getting mad at the dress. Dust and little pieces of debris had also took it's toll on the dress from the small tantrums Yachiru had against the walls. The only things unscathed were her Lieutenant badge wrapped around her small arm and her mask. All of this, of course, didn't sadden the 6 year old one bit. In fact she barely realized what happened to her outfit.

Since Ravi knew that Yachiru was somewhere on the ninth floor right now, as long as she hadn't gone somewhere else, he decided to make his way up there while he was at it. That'd take care of both. His room and Miwako's weren't on the same floor, but maybe he'd either run into her on the stairs or find her room in time. And if all else failed and it turned out that she'd gone ahead, he could always look for her in the ballroom.
As he headed up the staircase leading to the seventh floor, Ravi caught sight of a pink-haired girl getting closer, probably about to go down the stairs - curly pink hair tied back, from what he could see. Ravi stopped halfway up the steps. Miwako didn't seem to be the only girl with pink hair around here, so it could actually be someone else, but there was only one way of finding out.
"Miwako?"

"Ehh?! Is this telepathy? Miwako was just looking for you, Ravi!" Of course, there was the possibility that it wasn't Ravi at all, and then she would feel kind of stupid, but at least then she could rule out one of the redheaded people in the castle.

He grinned at the girl's words. "It's gotta be telepathy," he said with a nod, although he was joking about that. "I figured I'd go look for you, too, Miwako. Pretty good timing, yeah?" And it probably was, seeing how they could have ended up missing each other instead.
Then, turning his head to glance past Miwako, Ravi pointed up the staircase. "Yachiru said she's stuck on the ninth floor. You wanna come find her with me? Once we got that taken care of, there's just everybody else to track down when we get to the right room." But playing 'guess-who's-behind-that-mask' could be fun.

She adjusted her mask, it had slipped a little when she had moved so quickly. "Ravi looks very handsome tonight! ♥" Miwako commented happily before adding, "Yup! Let's go save Yachiru!" After all, it couldn't be very much fun being trapped upstairs when you could be going to the Masquerade!

What mattered was the fact that she had a mask covering the upper part of her face, or really, just her eyes. It matched the dress. The thing about it was, she couldn't see a damn thing out of it. She had to squint to make out where she was, and she had lost track of the number of stairs she had gone down.
In short, Fou was lost.
It was better to ask for directions than to wander around aimlessly though. Now the only difficulty she faced was finding someone who knew their way. Squinting still, she stalked through the hall in a 'don't piss me off with your stupidity' attitude.

Miwako was looking pretty cute herself and Ravi decided to tell her that in return. "Same goes for you, stick 'Miwako' and 'pretty' in there instead," he said as he started walking up the rest of the stairs. "Anyway, I bet we'll find her in no time."
It was harder to see through the eyeholes of a mask - Ravi had to turn his head into the right direction whenever he wanted to look somewhere other than straight ahead, and he had close to no peripheral vision like this - but if Yachiru made her way downstairs or stayed where she was, they were bound to run into her before long.

Yachiru stood up clenching the string to her sword. She took the hilt and swung it gently at the wall causing a small dent and crack in the stone. She was really bored. Something had to act as target practice. She pouted a bit and stomped down the hall. Her pacing began. Wheeling her sword back and forth. "Raaaaaabyyyyy..." Yachiru whined.

"Yachiru? Ah, hey." He waved his prosthetic arm at everyone in general. "I came here to help Yachiru."

She smiled and bowed in greeting. Sticking out her hand towards the unfamiliar man, she added cheerfully, "It's very nice to meet you! Miwako is Miwako, who are you?"

Pink hair? Someone else with PINK HAIR?! DU DU DU DU DU DUUUU! Yachiru grinned and jumped up and down pulling on Miwako's arm. She had never met anyone else with her color hair. This was a truly grand moment for the 6 year old. Even if she was with Raby, SHE HAD PINK HAIR! WHO CARES?
Yachiru let go of Miwako's arm and waved at Nana. "Hee hee. Hiii Nana! Nice to see you too!" Yachiru smiled and ran over to him and tugged his sleeve.
She eventually let go and turned back to where Miwako was. There was Raby. Yachiru smiled at him but nothing more. She closed her eyes and tried her best not to look him in the
eye patchface. It just creeped her out too much. But she wouldn't let her night be ruined!"We should get to the ball fast! Who knows what we're missing~ Hee hee. ♥" She looked at Raby's feet. Right. He wasn't too fast. "Raby, are you going to keep up this time or do I have to carry you?" Yachiru spun around nearly tripping over her torn dress. She tugged Raby's sleeve instead of looking him in the face. It was a lot easier.
"Let's go, let's go, let's goooo!"
