-landing lightly on her toes and then went down the next flight of stairs, jumping a few every time. Thankfully she didn't seem inclined to lose her balance and all. Almost there- almost there-

-she was there now.

Standing on their appointed meeting place, she smiled pressing her a fingertip to her lips thinking. Another person she was meeting here, it made her quite happy. And he was a knight too! Cornelia trusted her knights with her life. So... that meant he was surely a good person, trustworthy who she could relay on.

Right?

Of course.

Still... she wished Suzaku were here. He'd know what to do... how to go home maybe. However since Euphie was stuck here... she should at least try and help others. Like Irving had helped her on her arrival. It made things much nicer.

The first floor... Algus wasn't looking forward to having to go all the way down there when he was up here on the thirteenth floor. How large was this castle? It was impressive, but also a pain - getting lost would be humiliating.

It was already bad enough that he didn't know where he was or what was going on, and then, on top of that, no one had been of any help whatsoever. At least it finally looked like he would be getting somewhere after all, though. 'Euphie' was a strange name, but if she was telling the truth about her sister, then that held some promise. Knights? Surely that had to mean that her family was of a higher status.

Algus quickened his steps.

Finally, he arrived at last set of stairs. There was a girl with pink hair standing nearby. She didn't look like any Ivalician noblewoman, but he could ignore that for now. "Are you Euphie?" he asked, approaching the girl.

"Yes, I'm Algus," he confirmed, nodding. It was strange that the girl had moved closer like that, as if to examine him closely. What was she looking at? Algus stared and automatically leaned back out of the way a little, taken by surprise by Euphemia's actions and somewhat uncomfortable because of it, although he managed to keep himself from actually taking a step back.

He was probably expected to bow, if she was in fact from a noble family, but he didn't want to remind himself of his own status. He should be the same. He would be. He was.

Algus bowed, partly to hide a frown that had appeared on his face at those thoughts. "You too. Where are we going?"

That wasn't what he had meant. He knew they were going to the library, did she think he was that forgetful? What he wanted to know was where exactly the library was supposed to be. Well, maybe he needed to be patient and follow her so he would find out that way.

Algus resumed walking, heading down the stairs after Euphemia. "Really?" 'Fun stuff'. Inside the castle? It seemed to be made up of rooms, like any other castle would be. What did she mean by that? But he wasn't here for 'fun stuff'. So far, he didn't like it here at all. It wasn't pleasant not to know anything.

A pool? Of what? And why? Algus gave Euphemia a somewhat puzzled look, frowning. "Then you don't expect to leave this place?" he asked. The way she was talking certainly made it sound like she had no problems at all with being here. But this wasn't where she lived, was it? She'd said so herself.

Algus sighed, frustrated, following the girl. How much further was it to that library?

But if it weren't for the fact that nothing was making sense, maybe he wouldn't have so much against being here, either.
