Thread: Practice makes perfect? [Yuna and Tidus]
Who: Yuna and Tidus.
What: Blitzball practice. BUT A SHOCKING DISCOVERY IS MADE.
When: After this.
Where: At the pool?
Rating: PG?
Blitzball? Tidus hadn't been expecting that he'd get to play it here. They didn't have a real place to do it the way you did it in Zanarkand (used to do it?) or Luca or a team or anything like that. But there was water and that was good enough.
It did bug him, just a little, that that Shuin guy said he was from Zanarkand and he was the star player of the Zanarkand Abes, though. He'd never met him face to face, so maybe the guy could just be a big fan making things up, but... considering everything else, maybe it was just as possible for him to be telling the truth, making him from the real Zanarkand, the one from a thousand years ago. Not Tidus' dream Zanarkand. But he was here and felt pretty real himself, too, right? That was sort of hard to get your mind around, but this place was already filled with weird things going on, so that was actually nowhere near as weird.
At any rate, for now, all Tidus wanted to focus on was getting in some practice with Yuna. It couldn't hurt to brush up on things. Besides, it'd be fun.
Once he'd seen Yuna's reply and scribbled a quick response in return, Tidus left straightaway, making his way down to the first floor and the room where the pool was.

After finding a new swimsuit in her closet, the exsummoner made her way downstairs to the pool. Recognizing Tidus up ahead, she quickened her footsteps, nearly calling out his name. But she decided to surprise him instead and said nothing. With a small smile on her face, she made a run straight for him and hugged him from behind.
"Did I surprise you?" she giggled softly, resting her head against his warm, broad back.

Tidus grinned, turning his head in an attempt to look at Yuna over his shoulder. "Hey, that's not fair, Yuna," he replied teasingly, "I didn't even hear you coming." Though he had heard footsteps. Just not looked behind him in time to see that they belonged to her.
Tidus moved his arms so they were touching Yuna's. "Ready to start?" he asked. She looked like it, that was for sure. (Seeing her in a swimsuit was a pretty different sight from the summoner's outfit he'd gotten used to seeing her in before they'd ended up here and he'd seen her wearing something completely different, too.)

"I knew I saw this!" She was worried she may have mistakened something else for a blitzball--especially after Shuin said he couldn't find one. But her life was surrounded by the game since she was young; how could she forget? Tucking the ball under her arm, Yuna made her way back over Tidus, and lightly threw it to him.
"All right, let's get started!" she said in a playful tone, before she turned to the pool and dove into the deep end. Surfacing, she pushed her drenched hair back and waited for him to jump in.
OOC: AHH. XD;; Sorry about that. I accidentally did this in the wrong window/with the wrong account.
"Hey!" Tidus exclaimed. "They actually have blitzballs here, too?" He'd been expecting to end up using some other kind of ball, so this was a pretty nice discovery to make. He caught the ball and flashed Yuna another grin. "Okay, here I come!"
Tucking the ball under one arm, Tidus jumped into the pool after Yuna. He was about to kick his legs to swim back up to the surface, but, for some reason, that didn't seem to want to work right. Bewildered, Tidus found himself flailing around more instead of really swimming - and, to his surprise, he was actually starting to get the feeling that he was running out of air. Luckily he managed to get his head back above the water's surface, though, and grab onto the side of the pool. Coughing a little, he shook water out of his hair and blinked a couple of times.
What was that just now?
No worries! <3 POOR TIDUS, THOUGH. ;_;
Shaking the water out of her hair as well, she then swam over to him and patted his back. "Are.. Are you okay?" she asked breathily, pushing the blonde locks of hair away that clung to his face.
"What happened?" Her eyes were filled with nothing but concern as she also grabbed onto the side of the pool. Although she couldn't remember the details, Tidus was a great swimmer and blitzball player. He couldn't have drowned so easily back here, right?
Or could he?

Tidus shook his head. "I have no idea," he managed to reply after a while, looking at Yuna when she joined him. That probably worked as an answer to both questions. He felt okay, since he hadn't drowned or anything like that, and could breathe again, but coming anywhere close to that just now, especially after doing nothing more than jumping into the pool, shouldn't have happened in the first place, right? So maybe there was something wrong with him, all of a sudden.
But how? That didn't make a lot of sense. You couldn't just forget how to swim or hold your breath, unless you were really, really out of practice... Right? Maybe it was that, but on a smaller scale, so all he had to do was try again.
"I'm okay," Tidus added and gave Yuna a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about it, all right, Yuna? C'mon, let's get started!"
