Who: Miguel
two_pesetas and Ishtar
royal_rebellion
What: Ishtar shows up to Miguel's room to show him around the castle.
When: Evening?
Where: About and around the castle
Rating: PG, but perhaps borderline PG-13 for language.
Ishtar ran a brush through her hair hurriedly, making sure she looked okay for meeting a new friend. Her meeting with Farfarello had made her a bit skeptical of her appearances so the emerald green dress she wore had sleeves to cover her shoulders and the neckline fully covered any and all cleavage signs. One could never be too careful.
After deciding she looked fine enough the princess hurried out of the room (locking the door behind her this time) and made her way towards the room Miguel had specified. Luckily, she had been getting better acquainted with the castle the past few days and found it without too much difficulty.
With a bright smile Ishtar rapped on the door. Miguel definately seemed like a nice guy, and it'd be even better to get to know him in person.

"That's how it normally is with opposites," she began to say. "One will do it for the thrill or just the sake of doing it. The other, being different, wants something more tangible and something others can see. Am I right?"
She reached for her drink, sipping it this time as she waited for the answer.

He exchanged his empty mug for the full one and also sipped it. Despite his earlier criticism of it, the taste was beginning to grow on him. "He used to say that he'd never be happy until he had more gold than he knew what to do with."
Miguel considered, then sighed. "But I guess that wasn't the only thing that made him happy..."

After taking a quick swig of beer Ishtar casually replied, "Money may be the root of all evil, but its women that make men go really nuts. To have both is a real bonus." Another sip. "Didn't you mention that this Chel girl was like the breaking point?"

Ishtar downed the rest of her mug. Darres would be having a fit, that was for sure. The thought blurred away as the alcohol settled.
"Anyway!" Ishtar grinned, a bit of sloppy one, and raised her now empty glass. "How about we drink away those thoughts? How's that sound~?"

He raised an eyebrow at Ishtar's smile. She seemed a little less uptight now that she had before the two mugs of beer. He began to wonder exactly how old she was. It wasn't in his nature to ask, but he didn't want to be getting himself into trouble.
"And what thoughts could you have to drink away?" he inquired.

Well, almost everything.
After gesturing for more drinks, Ishtar kept on grinning and casually replied, "Well, I miss my Duzie." She made a few odd hand motions, nearly knocking down a mug. "My partner-in-crime, I suppose. And then..."
She chuckled, blushing a bit. "And then there's Darres. My bodyguard. Life without him is unbearable."

She took up her third glass and took a swig. Leaning forward by both her elbows, Ishtar continued saying, "Darres was always there to look after me. Since I was five years old. That makes it about ten to eleven years he's been by my side." She nodded happily and downed half the drink.

"He sounds like a good fellow to have around," Miguel said, thumping his chest to get himself breathing again. "Uh... I really think that's quite enough drinking for so early in the day, don't you?"
[OOC: Haha, you just broke Miguel's brain. Plz try to not step on the pieces.]

Her overly-cheery face suddenly became stern. She rose to her feet, hands on the table, and leaned over the mugs with a glare. "Or is it because I'm a girl? Girls can totally hold in their drink!" She pointed an accusing finger towards him. "That's called sexism, Miguel. Did you know that?"
no subject
He couldn't quite bring himself to say 'underage', and couldn't think of anything else.
"I just don't want things to get out of hand," he finished a bit lamely.

She paused in movement and words. Her face straightened some but her eyes were still narrowed as she leaned in a bit more. "Miguel, by out of hand do you mean sex? You dirty, dirty man."

"And you're awful loud and angry for someone who's holding her liquor really well," he couldn't help but point out. "Would you just calm down?"
no subject
Ishtar's hand shot up in the air, for no apparent reason, and she firmly said, "We should get more drinks, and that way your thoughts can calm. Good? Good." She cupped her hands around her mouth and called out, "Heeeey. Drinks, stat!"
As she voiced her command she had turned sharply, but doing so had caused her to stumble on the hem of her dress. Her arms flailed about for a moment but she fell on her side anyway. "Owie..."

Miguel swore he'd only taken his eyes off of her for a minute, just to wave off the drinks Ishtar was ordering (really, she didn't need any more beer) when there was a thump and then Ishtar was saying "Owie."
The conman turned and bent down to her, his green eyes showing concern. "Hey, are you all right?" He put his arms around her to help her sit back up.

Her grip around his neck loosened some and her grin grew a bit lopsided. "I could always use another... drink though..."
And with the elegance of a drunken princess holding onto a conman, her head thumped onto his shoulder. The world could breathe a sigh of relief now that she was out cold.

Except now he had a drunk teenage princess wrapped around him. That was kind of awkward.
"Nothing to see here," he said, shooing some curious people along. "No, no more beer!" he added to the servant who was hovering nearby.
Miguel picked her up just like a husband carrying a bride. (He couldn't help but cringe a little at the imagery, but he wasn't about to DRAG her anywhere.) Since he didn't know her room number, and he wasn't about to take her back to HIS room (she'd wake up and have him lynched, surely!) he settled for a quiet corner of the library, which was likewise nearby on the first floor.
He set her down on a couch, then paced worriedly nearby. I hope she's all right...
