Thread: Til the end [Seimei and Nisei]

Who:Seimei ([livejournal.com profile] confatale) and Nisei ([livejournal.com profile] e_clipsed)
What: Meeting up
When: A while after the conversation here.
Where: Room 309
Rating: To be safe- R for violence, language, most likely some m/m stuff

Seimei never makes it a habit to wait for others, if anything they should wait for him. So after agreeing to see Nisei he goes back to what he was doing before- flicking through the pages of the notebook reading what other people are writing. It is mildly amusing sometimes, other times it is utterly irritating. Seimei doesn't mind too much, he never gives most people here another thought.

Now that Nisei was here too... he wonder if other's may eventually show up.

Soubi.

Ritsuka. Although Seimei would not admit it, there was a gap missing in his memories of that he was sure, however he couldn't recall anything regarding his brother. He considered discussing the matter with his brother but decided against it. After all, Ritsuka seemed to have trouble getting over the fact he was not dead. Well, it would just make things more interesting later on.

There was mild surprise at Nisei's apparent... loyalty. Though Seimei was inclined not to belive it- not completly. Not yet. He'd have to work on keeping Nisei in line. After all... he may be in need of his fighter in this rather peculiar place. As long as they were useful, Seimei was willing to play nice.

The moment he received that first message in the journal, he had to admit he stopped breathing for a second before he remembered himself and penned a reply. At the easy and careless words he got in return, all the bitter and resentful feelings he’d kept locked up since his defeat came pouring out in his writing, in his sarcastic and clipped responses.

But then the simple sentence of “Mine until the end~?” had brought everything to a halt. And he’d had nothing else but “Yours until the end~” to say in return because he really was Seimei’s after all.

So it was no surprise to him when, in no time at all, they were already agreeing to meet up in his room, and Nisei couldn’t deny the apprehensive thudding of his heart in his chest. With a brief glance at the numbers on the door to verify they were 309, he raised his hand and knocked on the door lightly.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
An easy smile on his face, Nisei opened the door and slipped inside. “Hello, Seimei~” he said, brushing back a few stray locks of his dark hair. He had managed to regulate his heartbeat and was now trying to maintain a look of relaxed disinterest.

He was pretty sure it wasn’t that convincing, not with him.

He remained standing where he was, observing Seimei through curious eyes. Something seemed different about him, but Nisei would not say a word. He just waited for anything to happen, feeling strangely out of place in the other’s presence.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
“What?”

Not the most articulate response, but it was the first word his mind threw at him.

Nisei moved closer to Seimei, the smile completely wiped off his face. A frown had replaced it, different emotions shifting in his eyes. Confusion, skepticism, and finally realization.

“No.” His denial was said quietly, really not much of a denial at all. He hated how he had immediately known what Seimei was talking about.

“It’s not possible!”

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
“Well, obviously I’m not dead,” Nisei snapped, barely holding back a snarl. His arms were crossed, almost in an unconscious attempt for a defensive position. He was watching Seimei closely, wondering what was in store for him now.

Without the bond, he was almost useless. No, wait, there was no almost. In Seimei’s eyes, he was useless.

And life just continued to get better.

Carefully considering Seimei’s question, he closed his eyes with a sigh and concentrated. “Yes,” he finally answered. “You’re still there.”

He couldn’t help but wonder what this would mean to his sacrifice.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
A shiver ran down his spine, but Nisei still held Seimei’s gaze. “I’m not lying,” he said firmly. And he really wasn’t. Their bond was there, a little vague but there nonetheless. It wasn’t very reassuring, to say the least.

He didn’t have to contemplate the situation too much to know that Seimei wasn’t happy with this turn of events. It had probably hindered whatever he had planned for this place. And Seimei was a person who didn’t like it when things didn’t smoothly go his way.

Nisei sighed. “What now?” he inquired, turning slightly away from him.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
He merely blinked rapidly when those fingers closed around his throat, pressing down with a threatening pressure. Facing Seimei again, by force, Nisei gazed at him calmly, lips in a thin line. “All right, I understand that,” he said, shifting his weight from foot to foot.

To say this position was uncomfortable would be an understatement.

He said nothing more, having learned his place with Seimei a long time ago. Let him do the talking, the planning, all that stuff the dominant Sacrifices do. Just follow him and his orders because you’re his to command. It was simple enough.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Nisei laughed softly, his lips curving up in a smile. “I couldn’t ever forget, Seimei,” It was a light statement, more for himself than the other. His eyes were locked on the Beloved marking in a reminiscent way.

Hands loosely resting on his hips, his gaze traveled up from the marking to Seimei’s face. “Do you really believe that I could do the same to you?” The flicker of resentment in his eyes was quick.

But he continued smiling at him evenly.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Somehow keeping a falsely pleasant air around him, Nisei followed him. “A reminder?” the smile turned into smirk. “Perhaps it will keep me from forgetting anything at all~” He was treading on dangerous ground, he knew. But the words seemed to just spill from his mouth, uncalculated and completely careless.

It was exhilarating.

There was no doubt Seimei believed him equally capable of every bad thing he had done.

“Only because it’s useful.”

Oh, what a game this was.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
He didn’t know what he wanted to gain from this intentional provoking of Seimei other than that brief, fake feeling of actually leading him that was going to quickly be stamped out. “Of course I’m not like him,” A derisive laugh. “Never will be,”

If this was a way of dealing with the betrayal, then it was awfully stupid. Nisei wasn’t sure he wanted to know, he really didn’t want to know. Face it all blindly and maybe it won’t be so bad.

“Well. I’m waiting, Seimei.”

And how long would the usefulness last?

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 11:36 am (UTC)(link)
Nisei had watched him slowly unbutton his shirt, his heart racing faster. He had been about to open his mouth to say something sarcastic when -

Fuck. That hurt.

At the first touch of the sharp blade upon his skin, he bit down on his bottom lip harshly to hold in any whimper or sound of weakness that might escape. His blood was red, a shocking red that was glimmering on the knife, staining those slim fingers, his clothes.

The first letter, B, done and now the second letter, E, was started.

Suddenly, nothing seemed sure.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
More blood and more letters.

Nisei vaguely wondered if he was losing too much. Because you know, that was how people died sometimes, from blood loss. Needless to say, it wasn’t a very comforting notion.

Neither was this.

He glanced down and their eyes met as the O was being traced and refined. But there was no speaking. This seemed to be a silent process. He knew his gaze probably spoke volumes as it always had.

The knife pieced his skin again, past the V and at the next E. And the pain spread from the wound outwards, everywhere at once.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Nisei’s eyes fluttered closed and he sat without a second thought. He was trying to even out his irregular breathing, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in his chest. The images of what had just occurred were laid out before him in his mind, and he felt strangely detached.

Hurt, just hurt.

He looked up and opened his mouth to say something, but the words were gone.

All gone.

He realized he really had no right to complain. If anything, he had practically asked for all of this.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
He winced as the towel was placed rather roughly. A pause at the question, a breath, and he sighed.

“Yes.”

It was a simple and straightforward answer.

Nisei wondered if the bloodstains would come out of his clothes and came to the decision that no, they wouldn’t. He would have to change and deal with the mark on him carefully. He wouldn’t be forgetting this any time soon.

Yet the question of what now? still lingered in his mind. Just this did not satisfy him.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
“Hm.”

He was weak, and it made him angry at himself. To have lost to Soubi had made him lose any – if they had existed – redeeming qualities Seimei might have seen in him. There was no simply going back to how things had been before, not anymore.

The contrast of those clean fingers with the rawness of his skin stood out sharply to him.

“I don’t know,” he said, his eyes wandering. “Is there more?”

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
“I’m not sure if getting this,” Nisei lightly brushed his fingers against the marking. “was exactly what I had in mind.”

He had no idea where this conversation was headed. It was vague and had so many words with veiled meanings. It was almost as if he was realizing that this was how all their conversations seemed to be - obscure, thin, and thought out by Seimei.

“But is there, really?” He looked up at him from under his lashes, hesitant with his actions this time.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
“Oh, several things,” Nisei replied, well aware of the false coyness. And so he played along as well since it seemed to appeal to him at the moment. He knew Seimei wasn’t the type to just do things if there was nothing in it for him, but curiosity was pulling at him, drawing him nearer.

“You know me best, Seimei, what do you think?”

A light grin was playing about his lips now. He had moved closer, anticipation shimmering in his eyes.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
“Dirty, dirty, dirty,” Nisei was watching Seimei’s interesting reactions with a sort of self-satisfied look. “Everything’s dirty,” he breathed.

He was surprised at his actions, wasn’t feeling very much like himself. This place – this place changed people, made them feel as if there was nothing in the world to lose. And there actually wasn’t.

He didn’t know what the limits were, what Seimei would allow or not. It was complicated yet not.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Now Nisei’s cheek was stinging along with the faint pain in his chest. How nice. Though, actually, he really should have expected that move. Messily sprawling on the bed, he stared up at the ceiling blankly.
“Yes, I know I’m dirty as well,” he said airily, gesturing vaguely with a hand.

Then he glanced at Seimei from his position, still with the blank look.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
It was a bit surprising to Nisei how so much could happen in their first meeting in this place, this supposed paradise. His eyes followed Seimei’s movements with carefully regulated interest – he didn’t want his other cheek to sting, too – and he started to say, “If you think I don't understand, then –” But he cut himself off.

No, that was going too far. It would be too…direct.

And he didn’t doubt that it would probably earn him another backhanded blow.

“Don’t worry, I won’t.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Nisei, a smile on his lips now, arched his back up and, with some maneuvering, managed to slip off the stained shirt completely. “There,” he said, sketchily rolling it up. “Now I’m not wearing it anymore,”

If someone were to ask him what he was expecting to get from this game they were playing, he would have no real answer. Perhaps he was simply masochistic and enjoyed this twisted attention. Or maybe it was just the atmosphere of this place. Either way.

“Though I suppose it doesn't makes a difference,” he was debating between simply flinging the shirt to the floor or not.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
A glance. “They don't seem worthy of my body, so I don’t think I can do that.” Somehow, Nisei kept his tone neutral, his eyes clear of any visible emotion. Tangled, he was getting tangled in this web of sharp words and retorts that they were weaving with one another.

“Besides,” he was pushing it here. “Whoring myself out sounds so vulgar.”

That touch was feather light and sent sparks through him.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
“Of course, of course, I’m yours,” Nisei didn’t fight the statement. After all, the letters scarring on his body were more than enough for the truth. “But – ”

Oh, that smile. That smile that could fool all but those who knew him well, which weren’t many. He wasn’t sure he could count himself in that group. Just as he thought he was getting somewhere close, a dead-end popped up and he was suddenly back at square one as if he’d never advanced.

“Fine,” he said carelessly. “Do as you wish since I’m yours,” What was more hurt on top of betrayal to him?

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Shock.

That was the only word that could summarize what Nisei was feeling at the moment. His cheek was red besides stinging once more, but he had noticed none of that. Seimei’s cheek in his hair had wiped his mind clear of any thoughts and, suddenly, he didn’t know what to do.

Permission. Permission? Forget it. He didn’t care.

He wanted more of this display of kindness, wanted to grasp it in his hands and not let it slip away. Arching the slightest bit, he moved slightly closer.

Acceptance, did he crave it that much?

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
To Nisei, if this was all just to use as mockery against him later on, it didn’t matter.

Something like this didn’t happen every day, and he was pretty sure it hadn’t happened much at all before. This closeness was nothing relative to Seimei, it was the exact opposite. He was dominance and commands. This – it was too good to be true.

And Nisei really didn’t think he wanted this to blow up in his face. It seemed like that would literally hurt.

Slightly uneasy, he breathed in Seimei’s scent.

[identity profile] e-clipsed.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
And Nisei had no doubts that he could be of use.

But the mocking words reached his ears and he tensed up. Fool, he was a complete and utter fool. A deep breath and he pulled away. “Of course it’ll be fine,” he said sharply, looking at the wall. “Why wouldn’t it be?”

It would never be real, and that wasn’t fine, it wasn’t okay. Everything would always have some ulterior motive that he would have to follow because, really, did he have another choice? His Sacrifice was a very particular person, and as the Fighter he was just at the hands of the Sacrifice.

Just to be of some particular use. And an easy look formed on his face.
