On-going thread

Who: Axel, Sora, Roxas
What: Axel and Sora visit Roxas to get this 'Lae' and 'Axel' business straightened out.
When: Sometime after this
Where: In the halls, then Roxas' room.
Rating: PG13, just in case Axel gets crude with the language. x3

He really didn't know why he was wasting his time.

Thoroughly convinced that his conversation with Roxas had been nothing more than a unintentional mix-up, Axel wanted to forget the entire thing and move on. He'd been prepared to do so until he opened his fat mouth, which was the reason he was even on this floor.

Still, to be fair, he wanted this little 'mystery' solved. Not that he believed either Sora or Roxas; nor did he think he owed them anything so that he had to prove his sincerity. His main motive turned out to be purely selfish; he could just tell his focus would fly out the window unless this was resolved quickly, and Axel wanted to concentrate his efforts on finding an exit and getting out of the castle... Not that it mattered quite as much. If Sora was correct and they were in another world, well, getting home just got that more complicated.

"If this is a dream, it's one of my more screwed-up ones," he commented to himself, walking down the stairs to Sora's floor. The keyblade bearer had been gracious enough to give Axel quick directions to both his room and Roxas' just in case Axel decided to get himself lost again. It didn't take long, now that he knew where he was going, and the redhead quickly found himself outside Sora's door, room 219. Rapping his hand gently against the door with the back of his hand, Axel waited for him to come out.

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-07 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
He had sprawled across his bed and was reading his journal. He enjoyed watching the interactions that went on in the journal when he was bored. Hearing from all these different people was a lot more interesting than anything else he could do in his room.

A soft knocking was at his door, and he looked up from the arguement about snowmen a bunch of people were having. That was probably Lae...or Axel if Roxas was right. Either way, it was that guy. "One moment!" Sora shouted and rolled off his bed, catching himself as he hit the ground. Quickly he got up and slipped on his sneakers that had been carelessly left on the floor the last time he had taken them off.

Moving quickly to the door, he opened it up and immediately had to look up at the guy on the other side. Lae, Axel, whoever he was, he was tall. Sora had to crane his neck to see the guy's face. He was also surprised to see how bright and red the guy's hair was. Sora didn't remember any of the nobodies having such a vibrant hair color, or anyone for that matter. It was also sort of weird how the guy seemed to have two tear drops as tattoos, one for each eye. Maybe it was a thing with his world, Sora thought shrugging.

"Hey Lae! Glad to see you came!" Sora grinned up at the red head. He was glad he had come, this was important to Roxas. And he always enjoyed meeting new people.

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-07 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Sora narrow his eyes at slightly at the vegetables crack. "Hey watch it!" he said in an annoyed tone. He couldn't help being so short, that just how he was. Though he never really noticed until now how short he was until he had came here (everyone was so tall here), at least from what he could remember. Though he remembered a lot of the enemies he had fought being bigger than him. But they didn't count, they were suppose to be big.

But as usual his anger quickly faded. "Okay! Roxas is in 319, so just one floor up exactly." he stated as he started walking towards the stairs. This guy sure was determined to get out of here and back home. Sora couldn't say he blamed him, he was all too familiar with that feeling even now. The mere idea of home gave him a knot in his stomach.

But if Roxas was right about this guy being Axel...then this guy's home would of already been taken by heartless. It would still be around now since he was the one to bring back all the worlds...but it wouldn't be the home that this guy was expecting. He would be...

Quickly he brushed those thoughts aside. No need to think about that until later, right? Afterall, maybe Roxas was wrong. There was always a chance of that.

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-07 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
Sora paused when he asked him about his home. It was weird that it surprised him, but he had the feeling that not many people had asked him that question during his travels. They were too busy with their own worlds to wonder about the keyblade bearer's home, which was to be expected.

"Its pretty quiet," Sora started saying after a moment. "Bunch of islands where not much happens. But its very pretty, the ocean is so blue and it sparkles in the sun. And there's a small island there that I used to loved to hang out on, spent most of my time there." He would play with other kids there, he knew that much. But he couldn't remember any of the other kids, no matter how hard he tried. Sighing, he shoved his hands in his pockets. Talking about home made him even more homesick. "I miss it a lot."

"What about your world?" He knew nothing about Axel's world except that they had a heartless problem. "Whats it like?"

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-07 09:34 am (UTC)(link)
He nodded at Axel's comment about it being peaceful. "Yeah it is, and nothing really changes about it either." Sora always liked that about his island. Sure he liked the occasional adventure, but he liked knowing that his home woudln't dramatically change any time soon.

They started walking up the stairs as Axel explained his home. Sora tried to imagine it in his head. It sounded a bit like that one village in China in the mountains. Which he had liked just fine, but it wasn't his kind of place. But he still would like to see Axel's home sometime...if it was still there. "Sounds cold," Sora said offhand. "I'd think you'd like Destiny Islands. Its always warm and sunny there."

"Fire person? What do you mean?"

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-07 10:07 am (UTC)(link)
Sora stared at him with wide eyes. Nearly burnt down his village? "Whoa. really?" Nothing like that had ever happened in his world, he knew that much. "Haha, well that is one way to keep a place warm!" As well as burning it to the ground, Sora thought to himself, and made a mental note to be careful with flames around this guy.

As they reached the third floor he looked up to see Axel looking around for the room. Sora couldn't help but smile. "Its right where my room is on this floor, Lae" He knew for sure where his Nobody lived. It was the first place he had visited when he came to this world after all. And the first memory he had of someone who didn't want to kill him.

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-08 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Heh, don't worry about it," Sora said as he walked up to the door. It wasn't like he's never done anything like that before. In fact it was downright standard for him to do something foolish. "Right, lets do it" he replied and leaned against the wall next to the door. In a moment they would finally find out if this guy was Axel like Roxas said or Lae. Then Sora would finally know what to call this guy.

[OOC: I guess its time for Roxas eh?]

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-11 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
A few moments later, the door slowly opened. Roxas appeared, and it seemed to take him a moment to register what was happening. People didn't knock at his door often, and he never really expected to see Axel--or the one he thought to be Axel--and Sora in his hallway.

Roxas simply stared. "... Sora? ... Axel?" Maybe... they remembered?

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-11 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Smiling a little, he gave a small wave to Roxas. He probably should of warned Roxas that they were coming by, he thought suddenly. "Hey Roxas. I wanted to get this whole Axel-Lae thing all cleared up and I guess I forgot to warn you. Sorry." he scratched the back of his head, embarrased. He was never good at explaining himself.

To Lae's reply, Sora narrowed his eyes slightly. That was a bit rude, not even a greeting? But on the other hand, Roxas recongized the guy! It was one thing to mistake someone's handwriting, but a whole other thing to mistake their appearance! There had to be a connection! "You sure?" he asked both of them.

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-12 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
Lae. Roxas tried to see it--maybe this wasn't Axel. Maybe it was just someone with the same voice, posture, appearance, and personality. But no matter how Roxas tried to look at it, the man before him was Axel.

Looking past him to Sora, he nodded. "I'm sure. This is Axel."

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay," Sora nodded at Roxas. If Roxas was sure, Sora had no doubt in his mind that Roxas wasn't mistaken. He trusted Roxas to know what he was talking about. But at the same time, Lae seemed to have no idea who Roxas was.

This was so confusing and frustrating, Sora gripped his head and tugged at his hair slightly. Pacing slightly, Sora thought of the possiblities "Maybe he has memories problems," it seemed to be going around. "Or maybe this is his other self?" That could be it, though weren't nobodies suppose to look different? Him and Roxas certainly didn't look a lot alike.

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
Roxas was thinking of Twilight Town. For once it wasn't about Hayner, Pence, Olette, or missed moments. It was when he couldn't remember one of his other friends. His first friend. This must have been how he felt. To be forgotten...

Let's meet again--in the next life.

Axel had been kidding, but... maybe he was more right than he knew. Roxas frowned, looking from Axel--Lae, whatever--and then to Sora. "I... don't know."

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-13 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
He looked over helplessly at Roxas. The guy was upset, Sora could tell that. He hated seeing people upset, especially his own Nobody. If only there was something he could do.

His eyes stayed on Roxas even as he answered Axel's question. "An other self for a nobody are people who, well, I guess you can say they're complete. They have a heart." He wasn't really sure how to explain it. He wasn't exactly an expert.

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Sora... he's my Other," Roxas tried to explain, though it was a subject he tried to avoid. Funny how it came up so often now. "When people lose their hearts, sometimes they don't just fade away."

It was so hard to explain. Roxas rubbed the side of his face. He hated explaining things he didn't really understand himself. Axel would have known.

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Sora grinned a little, slightly embarrased. He never really knew how to explain this part. "Yeah, thats right." He had a feeling that the guy wasn't going to believe them.

of course, who could blame him? Sora when he thought about it, certainly couldn't.

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Roxas nodded as Sora confirmed the facts. He didn't know how much Sora had told him about Nobodies, but he didn't really feel like bringing it up.

He really wished he would have known they were coming to visit. Maybe then Roxas could have fled. Or something.

New thread~

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
Sora shrugged. He really wasn't sure to make of that. It was true, Roxas wasn't a lot like him. The guy didn't even seem to smile very much, and he took so much seriously. Not to mention the guy was so mysterious. To say he didn't understand much about his nobody wouldn't be far from the truth.

Actually the more he thought about it, the more this whole idea of nobodies and their others hurt his head. "Well, its complicated I guess. And me and Roxas aren't really experts." He wondered briefly if Namine would know more. She seemed to be a lot less confused than him and Roxas most of the time.

He raised an eyebrow at how Axel was staring at his nobody. What was the deal with that?

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
There wasn't much to say about that, and Roxas sighed. He knew if he tried to explain it they'd be standing there for years--probably ending up more confused than they were. But he tried to put it simply: "I'm... kind of like a part of Sora."

Or he had been. Now he just felt like some extra burden. He was the one telling them they had forgotten something. Maybe it would have been best if he had kept his mouth shut.

Axel's gaze wety unnoticed by Roxas. He was too caught up in his own thoughts.

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
He gave a frustrated sigh at the two of them. He was starting to get feud up with these two. "Well, yeah this is all confusing. What isn't confusing?!" the past two years of his life had been confusing, but some how he learned to deal. "But if Roxas says that he knows you, then I'm willing to trust that. Especially since your story about your village seems a bit out of date. Heartless stopped invading worlds like that a while ago." He had stopped it, he remembered that much.

And speaking of his nobody, he found himself whirling around to face him. Sora couldn't be the one to explain all this. Roxas was the one to know Axel, not him. For all he know, this was Lae, a man he just met. "And you." he said with his business tone. "Say something. Yeah this is a surprise, but you're the one with the memories Roxas." his voice soften "Tell us who Axel is and why you think this guy is him. Maybe we can figure something out then,"

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Were he not feeling so utterly hopeless, Roxas would have laughed at Sora's tone. It didn't fit him. He gave Axel a hesitant look that clearly said you're not fooling me. Even if memories were taken, something had to remain. Perhaps it was hidden, but there had to be something.

"You--Axel," He corrected himself quickly,"was a member of the Organization. He and I were friends." Best friends, his mind added, but he kept that to himself. "But I left because I wanted answers. He was the only one that..."

Would have missed me.

Roxas cleared his throat. "I ended up getting put into a computer generated reality, but Axel tried to get me out of it... before I became a part of Sora." He didn't look at his Other, not wanting to be reminded of their failed attempt. "I didn't remember him until it was too late."

The boy looked down at the floor. The memories were a bit foggy, but he knew he had to at least try to say it. Best to be blunt than to stand there like an idiot, right?

"Later... he killed himself in order to help Sora." To help him.

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Sora listen to the explanation quietly. Part of him felt slightly sick at the things that were done to help him. Axel lost his friend, and then later his life. All these sacrifices, just to help him complete his journey.

Nobodies have no hearts, therefore they cannot feel. Someone had told him that once, when he first learned about nobodies. That thought came floating into his head, like it always did when he was up against a nobody. Though since coming to this place, and watching these two now, the words seem to be more flimsy than before. These emotions looked so real to him.

When Axel asked about him being dead, Sora looked up trying to rack his brain for any memory of Axel. Nothing came, much to his frustration. Someone dies for him and he can't even remember them, that just seemed insulting to Sora. "I guess so," he managed to choke out. He had nothing else, what exactly do you say to that one?

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-14 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"This place can bring back the dead," Roxas said, as if it were nothing that should shock someone. Like, I know how to count to ten. The other members of the Organization that ended up in the castle were enough to make Roxas believe it. They were dead. They were supposed to be dead.

Sighing, Roxas looked like he sorely wanted to just slam the door on these two. Instead, he just rubbed the back of his head. "If it helps... I'm not supposed to be around, either."

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
He nodded at what Roxas said. Yeah, you could say that. Plenty of people who Sora were certain to be dead seemed to be running around here.

At Axel's request to see some proof, Sora held up his hands innocently. "Don't look at me," he said. He couldn't even remember anyone, why would he have any sort of proof proving who he had met? "Though what reason would we have to lie?"

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Roxas seemed to shrink down several inches as his shoulders drooped. Proof... he couldn't think of anything. There was nothing solid. Nobodies didn't have photographs--the thought of photos brought a bitter taste to Roxas's mouth. He just sighed and shook his head.

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
As Roxas's shoulders drooped down and shook his head, Sora's head dropped in defeat. He guess it was a long shot that Roxas would have anything like that. Why would he?

He went back to racking his head for possibilities to prove this guy was Axel. but that was a problem, since the members of the Organization looked like normal people. In fact the only way to tell them apart was because of..."a black cloak." Sora thought out loud. Maybe that would mean something to those two.

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Everything in this place was a failure, Roxas concluded.

All he did was raise an eyebrow at Sora. He was lacking the energy to do much else. Yeah, they wore black coats...

"Look," Roxas suddenly said, speaking to Axel, "If you don't want to believe us... then don't. But I know you're him."

[identity profile] chosen-heart.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
He shrugged and gave an embarrassed look. "Just remember that Organization members always wore the same long black coat so maybe..." he tried to explain, but it was hard so finally he said to explain "I was just thinking out loud." With both of him looking at him funny, he sighed and gave up. "I got nothing."

[identity profile] lineupthepieces.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Roxas perked up a little. But... that wasn't really proof, was it?

"Yeah... me either." He had tried to return to wherever he belonged, and he had failed. He tried to find more information on this place, and he had failed.

He had tried to remind Axel of who he was, and he had failed. Three for three.
