You know, I've been saying to a lot of people recently that it would be "three years in Januray," and ...

I think I've always known that it was a long time, but it didn't really sink in how long that is until right now. Especially with everything else that happens around here, and the short trips everyone else gets.

[a long pause]

Anyway. Happy anniversary to me.

[and with that, the journal will close for a little while. He'll be back, though.]

I'm trying... really, but it's like it's out of order. Things slide into place and I remember, but there's still big gaps.

I'm not sure if I mind, though, since this place seems to throw all sorts of things at us.

[and that makes him smile. because after three years of people coming back with no memories ... ]

Dean ... won't remember you. He's been back and forth a few times since then.

Well, I've been bounced here an' there now, too. I know how it can be not remembering it all.

Yeah. Me too.

It's good to have you back, Rose.

You might not believe me, but I actually feel like it's good to be back.

Good. I'm glad. I was starting to think I was the only person who actually liked being here.

From what I'm remembering it's not all great, but it has some highlights.

It's ... a matter of perspective, I guess. Or maybe I have been here too long.

I'm sure it feels like that, but coming back into it all, it honestly makes me wish I hadn't lost so much time.

Might be a good idea. Just not sure I'm ready for that idea just yet.

I think so. It doesn't always work, but sometimes it makes a difference.
