[ Anyone near the kitchen might notice Duke in there. At first he's just walking about, a little awkwardly, perhaps, taking turns and just mentally mapping where everything is. He pauses occasionally, hearing the sound of one of those magic fairies, but since he can't figure out what it is, it's ignored.

After that he's going to start cooking, and if knives near fingers make you nervous, don't watch him. Although he's doing fairly well at not nicking his fingers as he starts working on making something involving eggs.

Not doing so well at keeping his fingers free of egg, so there might be a tiny bit of that dripped on the page before the sounds of stirring and him finding things comes through the journal. ]

... If it was not this warm inside the castle.. what would you have done to keep yourself warm? [ He probably would have just become a mass of blankets and tried to sleep through winter, because there's no desert for him to wander off to, but shush. Chop chop chop - silence. ]

[ Duke listens to that, and when Felix stops, he inches back toward the pan, wooden spoon like thing in hand. He waits a bit, then uses that to do his best to flip the eggs in half. Might be iffy on his success. ]

[Well, it's not like he can tell Duke he missed a spot. It's not going to be pretty, but he'll hope for edible]

[ Duke seems to be carefully listening to the pan and keeps his head somewhat awkwardly over it to better pay attention to the smell.

So it's a little on the over-done side, but nothing's charred when he shifts the pan from the heat. ]

... Plates?

[Felix goes to fetch a pair of them and sets them on the counter]

Ah...maybe I should...?

..... Likely best if... [ He'll just put the frying pan down then. A bit of thinking and.. finding forks now. ]

[Yes, you do that, Duke. He'll get the unevenly-cooked eggs onto the plates instead of the floor. Well, it was probably just as good as he would have managed, which is sad given that he can actually see. Those eggs still might need some help, though.

Wordlessly, he moves to the fridge to find some cheese]

[ While Felix moves, Duke finds those forks. He spends a moment trying to figure out where the other had gone, but deciding cups is a good idea. You have things to drink with things to eat, normally.

And then he sets to trying to find the table with his hand rather than any part of his legs. ]

[He eyes the cups and anticipates Duke's plan for them]

Anything I else I should get while I am over here?

..... Anything you want to drink. [ Duke is going to be boring as usual and get himself some water.

After he finds that table and puts one of the cups there, and leaves the forks where he's pretty sure he can find them again. ]
