001 ( dictated / action )
[ Pakku had been wandering for only a few short moments before he discovered the journal. His expression was stern, emphasizing his lack of amusement for whatever it was that was going on. A trick? Some mind game? How could it be so? ]
There had best be a good… Oh? [ His words trailed off as he watched his words inscribe themselves on the last bare page. Something similar to delight, though he wouldn’t call it that, traced his lips as he ran his fingers over it. ]
Well isn’t this interesting? The Avatar would love to see this. [ Though he wasn’t sure what made Aang come to mind so quick. Perhaps the fact that he just seen him but a few weeks ago. ] Intriguing.
[ And as quickly as it had humored him, he became uninterested with it, shutting the journal and tucking it under his arm before proceeding down the hall. ]
Something tells me we aren’t home anymore, book. Best to find a familiar face to tell us what’s going on.

[Because Pakku's too boss to panic, even though he's bugging out a little inside. He does hold the journal up.]
Think you could tell me what this is?
no subject
The journal. [eyebrow raise] You're new, aren't you?
[respect? What's that?]
no subject
I wonder how I was unable to establish that. [sigh] I am.
Are you able to explain this to me or not?
[You have. To earn it.]

A magical sadistic castle has kidnapped you and you can use that [points to the journal] to talk to people. Got it, old man?

False information is not something you should so freely hand out... I'd call you young lady but you seem to lack the etiquette.
no subject
Right, because I'd make up something that ridiculous just to humor you.
no subject
So it seems.
no subject
Whatever. You're free to test out the journal for yourself. Welcome to Paradisa and try not to blow up the microwave.

I've learned a little about it, but it isn't exactly the most understandble thing. [....]
And a microwave is...?
no subject
A box that heats up food. Don't put anything metal in it.
no subject
[...right.] Very well.

She stares for a moment, before dropping the bowl out of shock. The clatter brings her back to her senses.]
--Master Pakku?

Katara. I take it you weren't expecting me. [He's eyeing that rice at your feet.]

Hey, he might not be dad or gran gran, but he was her waterbending master, and it's so good to see someone from home.]

How are things? Has the Avatar mastered waterbending?
no subject
[There are tears in her eyes, but she pulls back with a smile.]
Do you know where you are?
no subject
[ He still doesn't get this, and his expression can't hide his confusion.]
I've been told about magic and a microwave and...no, I'm afraid I don't entirely understand. Enlighten me?
no subject
We haven't met before, have we? I am Yamada, sir.
no subject
We haven't. I am Master Pakku-- I believe I've just arrived.
