[It's not been a super fun week for Fenris, not that this is anything usual. Fenris' entire LIFE is never super fun. He'd been enjoying cave exploring with Hawke, up until his loss had dragged him back. He'd tried to find her again, of course, but only to be brought back to the castle again before he could do so.

It can not be stated enough how much he really, really hates his loss. And now it's snowing, which he isn't a big fan of. Tevinter is tropical, and even Kirkwall isn't all that cold. He's almost regretting his lack of shoes now, as he stands by the main doors of the castle, glaring at the snow like it insulted his mother. His journal his nearby to record his distaste ]

I have never seen such a heavy snow before. Does it get worse than this? I do not relish being trapped inside the castle for months on end. [Because that's what happens with heavy snow, right?]

Anything that hibernates, really. Bears. Squirrels. Such creatures as this. A blanket... seems better. Gentler, like the earth is merely taking a nap, regaining its strength for the new day.

If well prepared it is hardly such a time, besides, like people, the earth needs rest to replenish its strength for future crop planting. Continuous use of the land only depletes it and makes it eventually worthless.

But why argue methods?
