Nepeta: Encourage your friends to shoot each other.

[BACKDATED TO MID-OCTOBER]

[Time to get this show on the road!

Nepeta had given the date and time to everyone that had signed up, with another last minute filter to anyone 15 and under of where the meetup would take place, including a hand-drawn map.

The building itself is hard to distinguish from any other business in town aside from the wooden sign: A picture of a laser pack and gun, and even that looks rather fitting for their surroundings.

Inside is a whole other story.

The walls are dark and there's almost a dungeon-like feel, but bright lights are spreckled about the massive room as energetic music plays overhead. Behind a big, vault-like door is the battlefield; an endless maze of walls and ramps and black lights, perfect for hiding from the enemy or staking out prey.

They'll have to wait to be suited up before being unleashed, of course, and they must promise to abide by the Player's Code of Conduct. That part is optional, of course.

Now Nepeta is standing half outside of the building, keeping an eye out for anyone that signed up to play. She'll flag them down if she sees them, and let everyone mingle and meet before they start to play. Better to get to know the competition before it begins!]

(ooc: You don't have to have signed up to join in! If your kid is 15 or younger and they're not tagged in, feel free to tag them in and join the fun. :3 This entry is backdated to when everyone was loss-free and able to play. EXTREMELY BACKTAG FRIENDLY!)

Sollux: Plan.

[Flying would seem like a cool thing to do, right? Wrong. Going over the maze-like barriers like that would make you an easier target. Floating on the other hand is a much more useful tactic, since gliding along takes up less energy instead of running and tiring yourself out. And like all those accustomed to the game of laser tag know there's a sweet spot somewhere. A place that if you find it and get into the right position, it's practically impossible to lose.

What's an easier way to win than to just sit around and snipe down opponents?

Equius: Have dumb luck.

[identity profile] equestrian-envy.livejournal.com 2011-11-03 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
[He's still very perplexed as to why he's subjecting himself to this. But then he remembers this is making Nepeta happy. And all the dark blue everywhere is definitely helping.]

[He's taking a bit to figure out this silly fake gun, but after a bit of fumbling about and aiming randomly to get a feel for it, he feels comfortable with this. Well, at least enough to start wandering around.]

[And what do you know. A floating peasantblood not too far off. Equius stops, letting a small smirk fall over his lips for just and instant before moving forward and trying to maybe... get a lucky shot in. The fake recoil, even if it's built to pack a little punch, is nothing to him, but lets him know he at least fires the thing.]

Aradia: Team up with moirail.

[personal profile] psych0p0mps 2011-11-05 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[You would if you could find him!!!! Knowing him he's probably gone to camp people somewhere, but you are not as well-versed in finding good camping spots as he is. Also you are pretty much rubbish with laserkind to begin with and oh hello that looks like the back side of Equius.

You take cover and fire around the corner! The fakey fake gun makes an obliging "pew pew".]

Sollux: Return fire

[personal profile] biwinning 2011-11-05 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[The sound of "gunfire" is close all of a sudden, and Sollux whips around to find Equius aiming at him-- no, firing at him. Or... fire at him, since he only did it once. Since the other doesn't know how to really play, firing once only gets one hit on Sollux, which is practically nothing, since you're better off using the laserkind more like a machine gun than a pistol. Rapidfire is how you win. And since Equius clearly isn't doing that, Sollux takes out his own laserkind, back against the wall to deal with the recoil, and begins to fire constantly.

So now you're getting it from both sides, Equius.
]

Terezi: Gang up on Equius, too-- nah.

[identity profile] redisdelicious.livejournal.com 2011-11-06 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Until Terezi shows up behind Aradia, and with a sneaky grin, raises her laser gun up to shoot her in the back.

But of course, she is blind, and out of the four shots she manages to fire, only one hits Aradia. One misses the mark completely and hits no one, and the other two hit Equius.]

Hahaha! This is fun!

Equius: Realize his associates suck in every extent of the word.

[identity profile] equestrian-envy.livejournal.com 2011-11-06 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
...This is bullshit.

Equius: Oh crap.

[identity profile] equestrian-envy.livejournal.com 2011-11-06 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
[Covering his mouth now.]

[Even with such horrible examples of his species gallivanting about like execrable wrigglers, there was never a reason to curse. Dangit.]

Aradia: Be the thread, become a clusterfuck.

[personal profile] psych0p0mps 2011-11-09 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[You fail to be the thread. You also manage to be shot by the blind girl, NICE GOING. Aradia jumps as her gear goes off, trying once again to find cover while her gun resets.]

Tereziii!

Terezi: Be the thread a few days late, as well.

[identity profile] redisdelicious.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[Terezi is prepared to follow Aradia immediately, but she noticed that bad language, Mr. Equius.]

Hey! Didn't you read the rules? 'No offensive language'!

[She raises her gun up again and aims it at Equius.] Prepare to be punished, hehe!

[After two quick shots (one of which missed, of course), Terezi runs after Aradia. >:]] Araaaaadia! Where'd you go? Hehehe!
