It will be Christmas, soon.  Amazing how the time passes.

...I wonder if there will be snow for my birthday?

I wasn't here last winter, but I do hope so. There is something marvelous about snow.

Ah, Christmas is a holiday that will take place in about a month. It's my favorite time of year.

The Doctor showed me snow when I got here but it was inside the castle! I've never seen real snow outside though.

What's Christmas like? Is it like Diwali and Halloween? I liked those holidays.

Snow is marvelous. There's always something magical about the way it covers everything. Like it is a whole new world outside, maybe.

Not all the same. But it is my favorite time of the year. If I was home now we would be thinking about finding the perfect tree and making plans to go caroling.

So...Christmas is about trees and singing? Do you sing to the trees or something?

Not at all, but decorating trees and singing carols are part of the traditions we celebrate. Christmas is a holiday in midwinter that celebrates family and light in the darkest part of the year. It celebrates the birth of the Christ Child, but there are many other traditions that have become part of it. We bring trees inside and decorate them with lights and ornaments, and hang mistletoe and holly. We go to the neighbors and sing carols to them. And we give gifts to each other.
