2nd Day

[Private]

So there's fighting here too.

[...]

I really shouldn't be surprised by now. I really have bad luck...

[/private]

[Kaito is hanging around the duck pond tonight, doing some stargazing. ever since the war started the portal to the Demon World blocked out the stars and there really wasn't time once everything was set in motion.

but here he could actually relax somewhat for the night. so Kaito decided to stay a little while longer. who knows? maybe if the mood struck him, he'd sleep outside tonight. it had been fun to do that in the Dead Zone.]

[ooc: open~ and as a note, if your character can sense demonic energy, ect, they'll be able to notice quite a bit coming from Kaito.]

I am. Do you mind if I join you?

[She'll just seat herself next to him, then, still a little on guard, just out of habit.]

The stars are magnificent, are they not?

With so much that is fell about this place, it is all too easy to forget such simple blessings. There is light still, even here.

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
True enough. Neither light nor dark may exist in isolation.

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
You will find no argument from me. [Pause] It is not often I hear such wisdom from the mouth of one so young.

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-24 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
More than can be said for most. But then, it is hardly the only manner in which you are singular.

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-25 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Need you ask? I have told you that we were previously acquainted. [She turns her head, fixing him once again with that intense gaze.] And I see much that others cannot.

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Would you have me speak plainly? Great changes there have been, that much I can tell, but as you have said nothing of them, I thought it not my place to say.

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
When first I approached, I sensed a great darkness about you. You do your best to conceal it now, but it is apparent in your unguarded moments.

You have little reason to trust me, I know. But I see no reason to speak to others of what I sense. I have also given my word to aid you where I may- a small thing, it may seem to you, especially since you have no memory of it- but the word of the Lady of Lórien is not lightly broken.

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
You misunderstand me. My word is already given. Not to the King of Bel, but to Kaito- a human child drawn into a war and plagued by demons.

You have won the war, it seems. But if aught of that human child remains, as I think it might, I am honor bound to stand by what I have said until such a time as your actions or intentions force my hand.

[A moment of hesitation] I will not deny that I also hold some affection for you. Have you read the journal?

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Is this a good thing?]

Then you know of our first meeting and of what came to pass afterwards? [Especially Finrod. It would cut down on the amount of explanations she owes.]

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
I need explain myself no further, then. [She has to smile a little at his tone, though.] It seems no less strange to my mind, I assure you.

[identity profile] inafadingcrown.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
It must be disconcerting- to read of things you have done and said and yet to remember none of it.
