Once, centuries ago for me, I had a companion. Rose. She's here, actually. She... well, let's just say she took on a great amount of power she shouldn't have in order to save me. She took words and scattered them through time and space as clues to lead herself to that point. Bad Wolf. Given the properties of this place I can't say that's exactly what's going on, but it seems too similar for comfort.
