[Galadriel (or Artanis, as she now thinks of herself) suddenly found herself in a room that was totally unfamiliar to her. What’s even stranger is that she had no memory of how she got there. She finds the journal fairly quickly and flips through it, but it does little to assuage her fears.

When she dictates, it’s not the calm, practiced dictation of Galadriel (although there are hints of it in there), but rather the voice of a frightened young girl, trying to sound far more intimidating than she is capable of being.]

I know not who brought me here, nor why, but know that my father and my brothers will not stand for this. I am Artanis, daughter of the High King Finarfin. If you release me immediately, they may be persuaded to show you mercy.

[With that she tucks the journal under her arm and sets out to explore, first the room she arrived in, and then the castle. Unlike on her initial exploration, however, her movements are slightly hesitant, timid, and more obviously marked by fear. ]

[ooc: She will be running into Rin in their shared room, I believe, but after that will be roaming the castle. Feel free to encounter the mini-elf or to answer her over the journal.]

[Say what you want about Artanis, but she is perceptive- frighteningly so, at times. That statement earns Rin a long examining look as she ponders the circumstances of her arrival.]

Do you mean to imply that I am on such a loss? [And she keeps her eyes on Rin's face, watching her reaction carefully.]

[Rin cocks her head.]

Usually residents show up in their own rooms when they arrive. And they have their own journals, with their names already on them.

[It is logical... But it's just so hard to wrap her head around. To see the future in her mind is one thing, to realize that she may be in it is another. There's a long pause where she's thinking until she breaks the silence with:]

Mother was right. I will grow tall.

[The more serious implications are a bit harder for her to voice.]

[Rin offers her... a small, quiet smile.]

I realize it's easy for me to say, but I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. People here are pretty friendly. And if that's the case, you'll change back in probably a week.

[There's a pause and something hits her. She studies Rin again, this time with a closer eye.]

If you speak truly, I must come to think a great deal of you.

[Rin smiles and ducks her head, looking awkward and pleased at once.]

Well, I'd hope so - I think pretty well of you too. Anyhow this is your room, so it's more like I'm staying here with you. If you wanted to you could put me out for a while, since I'm actually planning on a trip anyway...

[She shakes her head immediately. She still comes from a time when hospitality is a near-sacred thing. To kick Rin out is unthinkable.]

If I have offered you shelter, you will have it. A daughter of the House of Finwë does not go back on her word.
