[Galadriel (or Artanis, as she now thinks of herself) suddenly found herself in a room that was totally unfamiliar to her. What’s even stranger is that she had no memory of how she got there. She finds the journal fairly quickly and flips through it, but it does little to assuage her fears.

When she dictates, it’s not the calm, practiced dictation of Galadriel (although there are hints of it in there), but rather the voice of a frightened young girl, trying to sound far more intimidating than she is capable of being.]

I know not who brought me here, nor why, but know that my father and my brothers will not stand for this. I am Artanis, daughter of the High King Finarfin. If you release me immediately, they may be persuaded to show you mercy.

[With that she tucks the journal under her arm and sets out to explore, first the room she arrived in, and then the castle. Unlike on her initial exploration, however, her movements are slightly hesitant, timid, and more obviously marked by fear. ]

[ooc: She will be running into Rin in their shared room, I believe, but after that will be roaming the castle. Feel free to encounter the mini-elf or to answer her over the journal.]

[She would expect nothing less. She smiles down at her as she opens the front door, leading them towards the garden]

[You're not going to get very far leading her outside, though. Because as soon as she gets a clear view of the sky, she's going to stop in her tracks and stare in wonder and awe, letting out an audible little gasp.

She's never seen the sun or the moon before, you'll have to forgive her.]

[Whoa. Where'd her shadow go? She turns and sees Gala-- Artanis staring at the sky. She cocks her head to one side]

Are you okay?

I am simply wonderful. [The words come out rather breathless.] What is it?

[slightly confused] What is what?

[Points toward that big, round, bright object in the sky.] That! Never have I seen its like; it shines as Telperion or Laurelin.

[She glances up, then back down at Artanis]

The sun? To start with, honey, don't stare at it like that or you'll hurt your eyes. You haven't seen anything like it, before?

[She may bristle a bit at "honey"- not used to being called pet names like that. But it doesn't last long; she's too in awe at the sun. She tears her eyes away and glances back at Phoebe.]

I have not. I am reminded of the light of the Two Trees.

[Normally she wouldn't have dreamed of calling Galadriel 'honey' but... she's an adorable child, it just slipped out!]

The Two Trees?

["Adorable" is another word to avoid using...]

Telperion and Laurelin- the Two Trees of Valinor. This "sun" is more like to Laurelin: golden and bright and fair. Telperion waxes as Laurelin wanes and fills the sky with a silver light, gentle and mild. [Even as a child, she loves to play with words, to sculpt and paint with them, and it results in a sort of eloquent enthusiasm.]

[She smiles] It sounds beautiful. I've seen a vision of your world... at least, how it will be in your future. It really seems like an amazing place.

You also have foresight? [Suddenly, you are even more interesting!]

I do, yes. I'm a witch. [She smiles]

[Headtilt] I have not yet heard that term.

I can do magic. I have the power of premonition, I get visions of the past and future.

[She laughs] We have something in common, then.

We do, yes. That's how I saw your world, through a shared vision.

Shared with whom? [Oh dear. Too many questions for her own good.]

With Galadriel. [She has two nephews, one of whom is a toddler. Questions don't bother her]

Of course. [That woman is everywhere. :\]
