Imp

[Galadriel (or Artanis, as she now thinks of herself) suddenly found herself in a room that was totally unfamiliar to her. What’s even stranger is that she had no memory of how she got there. She finds the journal fairly quickly and flips through it, but it does little to assuage her fears.

When she dictates, it’s not the calm, practiced dictation of Galadriel (although there are hints of it in there), but rather the voice of a frightened young girl, trying to sound far more intimidating than she is capable of being.]

I know not who brought me here, nor why, but know that my father and my brothers will not stand for this. I am Artanis, daughter of the High King Finarfin. If you release me immediately, they may be persuaded to show you mercy.

[With that she tucks the journal under her arm and sets out to explore, first the room she arrived in, and then the castle. Unlike on her initial exploration, however, her movements are slightly hesitant, timid, and more obviously marked by fear. ]

[ooc: She will be running into Rin in their shared room, I believe, but after that will be roaming the castle. Feel free to encounter the mini-elf or to answer her over the journal.]

To hear the bard tell it, Eldh was much the same in the beginning. The Little Folk are but a shade. Indeed, we had believed them to be gone entirely, until we encountered them.

Little Folk is the name for all the creatures of fey nature. There are light and dark elfs among them. The latter I hear are small as you say, though we did not meet any. Dwarfs they are also called. The former are not. They are tall, ethereal beings that shine as if made out of light. Usually they are called fairies. That is why I say you seem nothing like an elf to me. I hope you do not take offense...

You are certainly not alone in that. Though I find the people in this place far stranger than the land itself.

I am far from exceptional as far as mortals go, but we are well met all the same, I hope. I am Durge...and what may I call you, young lady elf?

[He nods his head]

What do you intend to do now, miss?

Wise indeed. I have been doing much the same since I arrived as well. I could...accompany you in your search?

Not at all.

[Cannot have a young girl wandering about by herself, elf or no :|]

[That's why he didn't say that out loud. He knows an independent spirit when he sees one.

Haltingly, Durge takes her hand in his, and the two continue onward
