[Galadriel (or Artanis, as she now thinks of herself) suddenly found herself in a room that was totally unfamiliar to her. What’s even stranger is that she had no memory of how she got there. She finds the journal fairly quickly and flips through it, but it does little to assuage her fears.

When she dictates, it’s not the calm, practiced dictation of Galadriel (although there are hints of it in there), but rather the voice of a frightened young girl, trying to sound far more intimidating than she is capable of being.]

I know not who brought me here, nor why, but know that my father and my brothers will not stand for this. I am Artanis, daughter of the High King Finarfin. If you release me immediately, they may be persuaded to show you mercy.

[With that she tucks the journal under her arm and sets out to explore, first the room she arrived in, and then the castle. Unlike on her initial exploration, however, her movements are slightly hesitant, timid, and more obviously marked by fear. ]

[ooc: She will be running into Rin in their shared room, I believe, but after that will be roaming the castle. Feel free to encounter the mini-elf or to answer her over the journal.]

It is truly beautiful. Oh! Forgive me, you are Lord Elrond, are you not? [Have a little curtsy, Elrond. How's that for surreal?]

[He just smooths his features into his normal stern face yup, otherwise he will chuckle. But he does bow to her in turn, his clothing less elaborate then normal.]

And you are the Lady Artanis and no forgiveness is needed when one finds something of wonder. Have you seen other things here that you are not familiar with? [Because the sun/moon thing dates her and now he's gotta know what she thinks of humans.]

[It was exciting, let her tell you!]

Oh, yes. The Second Born-mortals! I have seen them here, though they exist only in tales at home. It is wondrous. [If only she had any idea who she was talking to...]

There are those here who count themselves among the Eldar but have kin as well among the Second Born. [Yup and that is as close as he's going to say on his heritage yup. Yuan and he talked though so he can always send her on her merry way to him if he doesn't feel up to sharing what he is.] They are from what I have seen, the majority of those that dwell here.

Are there? How extraordinary! [Oh, great idea, Elrond. Sick the inquisitive teenager with a million questions on the guy who is already suspicious of elves. That will endear her to him.]

Then, at least I will learn more of them, if I am to remain here for a time. [That optimism and pure cheer hasn't been tainted by time and sorrow yet.]

[Hey give him some credit, he'll give Yuan fair warning about her.] There are, even amongst those that you will soon call kin.

And you will, though not of those that dwell from our own world. There are differences, even amongst those of Man here, you would do well to remember that. [Okay so small bought of home sickness is gone right now, this is helping him tremendously.]

You know much of my future. [She suddenly turns more serious and thoughtful- a familiar expression on a much younger face.] Knowing what I have seen is difficult enough. I think I shall not ask.

[And to that latter part, she will just nod. You would know better than she, Elrond!]

[And that is a rather reassuring expression to him, at least some things are yet similar.] You may ask, if you would like, however I will refrain from sharing more than is needed for the present time.

[There's a pause and she looks up at him, eyes bright and eager, with a only hint of that sharpness.]

Tell me only this: do I see more of the world?

[She hasn't been outside the Undying Lands yet. And as Elrond well knows, it's this desire to see knew lands (and to rule them) that will get her in trouble.]

[Kids with that look in their eyes always make him pause in answer. As they are usually far to smart for him to side step with colorful words, so instead of denying it he nods.]

You will see much of it in your time yes.

[Nods] Thank you.

Of course, you need only ask and I will answer what I can.

[Another nod and she looks at him again, this time more seriously.]

May I ask, then, how you know of my kinsmen? You are of the Eldar and yet I have not seen you in Valinor, as I surely would have with a lord such as you. [Too smart for her own good?]

[Oh yup too smart for her own good indeed. So he just gives her a slight look.]

You may ask as I said you could. And you are correct, you have not, for you have presumed I am a lord which I am not. [Yup he's lying to her, this can only end well yes? But dressed plainly for himself he could hopefully pass it off.]

[It isn't so much his clothes that are the issue, but rather his bearing. The expression on her face is quite skeptical and she turns that high powered gaze on him. But he was preparing for it, wasn't he? He knows her well enough that he should expect it.]

Forgive my presumption. You act most lordly.

[Yes he was preparing for it really, there are some advantages to knowing her as well as he did after all. So he smooths his clothes, not even noticing how he holds himself. Really it's just habit.]

It is a very understandable one and I thank you for thinking I am a lord. [Because he is, he's just hiding it for the moment.] Is there, anything I can aide you with presently?

Not at the moment, thank you, L- Master Elrond. [She'll play along, even if she is giving you the side-eye forever.]

[She can give him the side-eye forever, won't change his mind.] You need only ask then, if a situation arises that you have questions of.
