☠.21
[Anyone out and about this time of night may come across two vaguely familiar figures silently patrolling the halls. They are elves, sure enough, but their eyes are burning red, their hair and skin pallid. Weaponry adorns their black, ornate armor; well-used swords at hips and longbows crafted from bone slung over shoulders. They move with grace and without sound, their fiery eyes nearly unblinking.
Most attempts to flag them down will result in a wary glance and little else, but if any are feeling ambitious, they're more than welcome to try harder.
For the most part, though, they are standing guard outside room 425.
After a time, a voice carries over the journal. It's perhaps a bit familiar, but with a cold echo to it.]
The Dark Lady has not returned yet. Shall we seek her out?
[And another voice, with the same unearthly echo responds.]
Not yet, sister. She will return. Remember -- patience, discipline.
[ooc. loss start!!! vereesa and alleria are now dark rangers. open in person or over the journal!]

Any who approach the Dark Lady's quarters ought to have a damn good reason. Intimidation is not the only weapon in our arsenal.

You are also not ones to conceal your attitudes. [A door shuts, and then he is on his way, journal in hand as he moves down the stairs.]

What need have we to do such a thing? We do not shrink from what we are.
no subject
[Cross you want some of this you know you do]
no subject
I certainly wouldn't expect you to pretend to be what you are not, Vereesa.

It's nice to see you haven't changed. [Much.]

Why would we have?
no subject
You sound as if we should have.

...man this is kind of freaky.]
You two examine my statements a bit too deeply.

It is something we have learned to do, when dealing with the living.

Then perhaps you ought to choose your words more wisely.
no subject
True, I could potentially do that. [his tone of voice suggests he won't lksjdhfg]
no subject
Sister. Do you think we ought to teach him manners.
no subject
I dare ask if it is worth the effort. Then again, if you insist.
no subject
I think my manners are just fine if Sylvanas hasn't been successful in fixing them.
no subject
Don't speak about the Dark Lady so familiarly.
[gross ew]
no subject
Patience, sister. Do not let him goad you so.
no subject
Or, maybe I am just that familiar with Sylvanas. I doubt a sword would fix that, Alleria.
no subject
Then perhaps if I remove your tongue, you will at least be unable to speak of it.
no subject
Your words are not helping either, General. [Spitting out that word. YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER.]
no subject
A name riling you so easily? I thought you kept your composure better than this.
no subject
It is the way you speak of her that I do not like. She is Queen of the Forsaken, not some tawdry little thing you've picked up at a tavern.
