[Anyone out and about this time of night may come across two vaguely familiar figures silently patrolling the halls. They are elves, sure enough, but their eyes are burning red, their hair and skin pallid. Weaponry adorns their black, ornate armor; well-used swords at hips and longbows crafted from bone slung over shoulders. They move with grace and without sound, their fiery eyes nearly unblinking.

Most attempts to flag them down will result in a wary glance and little else, but if any are feeling ambitious, they're more than welcome to try harder.

For the most part, though, they are standing guard outside room 425.

After a time, a voice carries over the journal. It's perhaps a bit familiar, but with a cold echo to it.]

The Dark Lady has not returned yet. Shall we seek her out?

[And another voice, with the same unearthly echo responds.]

Not yet, sister. She will return. Remember -- patience, discipline.

[ooc. loss start!!! vereesa and alleria are now dark rangers. open in person or over the journal!]

[And her eyes narrow at that. What an insensitive question! And yet so many people have been asking it lately, weird. Everyone is rude!]

We are as well as possible. But your "concern" is noted.

[Rude people everywhere, sister! They act as if they'd never seen two dead elves walking around the castle. WHATEVER.

Vereesa happens to stare down Colette, eyes narrowing at her.]

We trust that you are well?

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say something rude. [because from the narrowed eyes... they were obviously offended. So she tries to look normal... or at least unaffected by their new appearance]

Y-Yes, I have been doing well! And it's good to see you again, Vereesa... I feel like it's been a while since we spoke.

[Her eyes remain narrowed, but she doesn't say anything else, just quietly watches from next to Vereesa. Staring all creepy-like, it's a thing they do.]

Perhaps it has been.

[Why didn't you call, Colette? Is it because they're DEAD???]

[YEP, COLETTE ACTUALLY HATES DEAD PEOPLE, brb peace]

[no, not really. asdghasdgahsd SHE'S JUST OVERWHELMED BY THE AWKWARD, so there's a second as she tries to think of what to say next] Ah...

Were you... going somewhere? I'm sorry if I interrupted you.

[Finally, she speaks up. Her voice is just as creepy and echoey as Vereesa's, so have fun with that, baby!]

We are where we should be.

We wait for the Dark Lady's return. Until then, we've no other place to be.

O-Oh... [asdghasdgahk this is so scary and strangely... sad? she's not sure what to make of it]

You're waiting for this... Dark Lady to come to Paradisa?

[Those are both acceptable reactions, actually.]

No. She is already here.

[Eyes narrow at Colette again, and she leans forward just a bit.]

You act as if you have never met Sylvanas before.

[she nods! but then... adsg;khsagah DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THEY REMEMBER]

U-Um, only once! We didn't talk very much...

Of course not. I do not imagine the Dark Lady has much time for small talk.

[A pause.]

Nor do we, as it stands.

[A nod to her sister]

So if you've anything else you wish to say, speak now. We've our duties to return to.

N-No, that's alright. Thank you for talking with me... [asdgkhsgd she awkwardly... waves... good bye....]

[A slow nod ........... COLETTE I'M SORRY they will apologize later slkjdjlsd]

[Vereesa says nothing, and makes no motion to return the wave. BUT SHE WILL APOLOGIZE TOO SO DON'T HOLD IT AGAINST THEM OK]
