[A toddler is sitting in the middle of the library, all by his lonesome. People who know Damian might recognize the endlessly-judgmental eyes, but otherwise, he just appears to be a dark-haired little boy with big blue eyes and a big stuffed bat under his arm. Good thing he's an independent little guy and doesn't seem to be bothered that he's all by his lonesome. He seems more puzzled by the endless bookshelves around him than anything.

[She lets him fiddle around with it as her mind processes this. Well, it's better than him being older and unhappy. A toddler is easier to handle than a big bald guy. Despite her near-phobia of 10 year olds now, Stephanie does like kids. She hasn't had too much experience with toddlers, but if she could handle that time the castle landed her and Terry with a kid... no sweat, right?

She's thinking she might have a better grasp on this than Bruce, anyway.]

[He lets her go, momentarily distracted by his bat! That's right. He leans away from her, to try to "reach" to his bat, but given that he's in her arms, the only way he'll reach it is by tumbling on his head.]

[Thank god for her reflexes, as she quickly gets a better hold on him. She laughs a little because this is ridiculous and he's oddly cute. For a little brat. So tiny and pudgy.]

Okay, okay. [She leans down and picks up the bat.] All yours, don't worry. Just don't pull on my hair.
