Holiday's not so bad...but anyone know what's the deal with the cows?

Cows can be stubborn and secondly I think the castle has brought them in line with the celebration. You see it's Divali, a festival celebrated in a number of religions including Hinduism and cows are considered sacred by hindus. They're decorated in honour of the celebration but as they are sacred people avoid harming them in anyway and let them be.
