Okay, so... this is Heaven. Really, it's not all it was cracked up to be. No fluffy clouds or female angels. Unless this is Hell... Actually, it's probably Hell. I'm not nice enough to get into Heaven. If so, whoever decorated did a really swell job. Staring at these stone walls for the rest of eternity sounds like punishment enough for whatever sins I have.

So... what are you people in for?

You're not supposed to die at all. We're supposed to fight together and go home.

That was the point of going through with the procedure. [Aside from proving himself which was something he couldn't recognize.]

No, the point was for you to be able to show everybody how great a person you are. If I have to die to make sure you do that, then I will.

Steve, compared to you, I'm nothing. You're the better man, always have been, always will. That serum, it just made everybody else realize it. And I'm glad, that it did, that I just faded into the background.

Depends on your definition of taken care of. You blew up the base, yeah...but the guy who did all the experiments... [He won't tell him that he was on the train. He refuses.]

Why are you apologizing? It's not your fault, idiot. I enlisted because I wanted to. If I get captured and experimented on it's my own damn fault. [That's his story and he's sticking to it.]

That doesn't mean I can't feel bad about it. [He's mostly defeated at this point. It's hard to argue with that. They knew there was consequences to going to war.]
