[Open in journal and in person in the lobby]
[This isn't been remotely what she'd been expecting to have happen. Not by a long shot. She knows it is only a matter of time before it finally happens. Alone, with all of the Covvies on Reach... It is just a matter of time before the deathblow finally falls. She knows death is coming. But she doesn't regret it.
She just watches on her back as what should be the deathblow starts to fall.
Suddenly, the scenery changes. The Elites vanish. She's indoors. And instead of Reach... It's an unfamiliar room. A lobby of some kind. But she's injured. Her helmet is nearby on the floor. And she's gasping for breath as she tries to deal with the injuries from the Elites that she'd been trying to hold off. When she finally manages speech, it's rushed.]
How did I get here? What's going on?

How did I get here? What's going on?

[Let's see, what else.]
There's a movie theater that's only open on Fridays, a room that's a beach half the time and a snowfield the other half, a giant library, a games room, a music room, a couple of restaurants and bars, a giant tube maze, and the kitchen's on the first floor.
We're also within walking distance of a city of, oh, about a hundred thousand people or so.

[Well, she didn't specify.]
Think of it this way. Anything you can wish for that's not inherently destructive is here. We're mostly limited by people who know how to use it, more than any supplies.

You'll be fine, Six. Considering some of the other wounds that have come through here ... York, you remember Raiden?

[She's going quiet. Not wanting to want her breath and energy as exhaustion is starting to set in.]
no subject
[The talking ought to hold them until they get to the clinic, at least - primitive by UNSC standards, but still recognizably a medical facility.]
no subject
[Talking, yes, and there was a reason Kat's taking up the rear. She won't intercede if she doesn't have to, to save face, but if Six goes down she's not hitting the floor.]
no subject
[Then her attention was more focused on the walk and getting there while maintaining her dignity.]

You two want to play doctor while I look for your room?
no subject
We even have our own personal helljumper here.
no subject
... Interesting. Anyone else that I should be aware of?
no subject
Keep your eyes open for the Meta. Kat's got the full rundown on anyone considered a threat.
no subject
Yes, I'll get you a full report on friendlies and hostiles. The Meta is from our world, formerly of York's project, but he's currently under lock and key. We've got a few hostiles in the prisons, currently, but there's always the threat that the castle could let them loose at any moment.
[she falls silent, still holding back the burning questions she had as she stepped aside to make room for a medic.]
no subject
The place actually has a prison?
[Six rather calmly lets the medic work on her. She's not about to complain about the pain.]
no subject
[Kat nods, shifting her weight and setting the armor pieces aside for the moment, taking her helmet off and setting it next to Six's damaged JFO.] Affirmative. It's in the basement, next to the Peace Patrol headquarters. When you're feeling up to it, I'll take you around.
There's no real governing force, people arrive and are sent home with too much of a frequency for any sort of government to form, but we've been working on establishing a stable police force and judgement system, at least.
[She's really just waiting for the medic to leave before getting to the heavier news. Besides wanting to know what had happened in that week between them, the fact that Six's exit of their world had been merely a week after Kat's meant that she didn't know the outcome of the war.] We have some things to discuss.
no subject
[Already getting into the team mindset.
Patience is a virtue. She can wait long enough for the medic to finish.] I guess we do. It's strange seeing you like this...
no subject
[So good to have you here, Six.]
I know. It's been a year since I've seen any other Noble.
It was rather disorienting for me when I went from running through that bunker sub-level to standing on a roof. [Wry little chuckle, had it really been a whole year?]
no subject
A long time. But I'm here to back you up now. [There's a chuckle.] About as disorienting as suddenly finding yourself in a lobby alone after being surrounded by the Covenant?
no subject
[Kat settles back to sit on the adjoining bed.] You've got some new for me, and I've got some news for you. Who wants to start?
no subject
[Six actually pauses at that. Considering she's still not sure how to begin with her news...] You first.
