Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64?

[As night falls, silhouetting the castle in shadow, a tiny form can be found standing on the path outside. Mouth agape, she's got her head tilted back as she stares in wide-eyed wonder at the building in front of her. Clutched in her hands, a forgotten book (which, unbeknownst to her, happens to be her journal) dangles open, pages swinging in her careless grip.]

Woah...

[someone's not in Tyson, anymore.]

[Loss start! Feel free to find her outside the castle, bug her over the journals or, if you'd prefer, find her once she starts exploring. Because she won't stand still for long]

exploring, you say?

[Five's on his way back up to his room after taking an evening stroll down into town, when he spots the little girl in the lobby with the journal dangling from her hand like a stuffed animal]

Well, hello, there. [he offers her a warm smile] And who might you be, mm?

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Jillian?

[he smiles, but his eyes widen as he looks more closely at hers. so bright, so familiar -- and that hair! even in miniature --]

Nooo.

[but to his credit, he recovers remarkably fast, crouching down to offer her a hand] Well, it's an absolute pleasure to meet you, Jillian! I'm the Doctor.

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
And no one ever said you had to be, to be friends with a doctor, my dear. [he gives her hand a little shake, to show her how it's done, and lets go] And even if you did? I'm not that sort of doctor.

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, some of them do, certainly. But others do all kinds of things, like help discover new plants and animals, or explain why the stars shine. The thing all doctors really have in common, Jillian - and this is the important bit! - is that they help make the world a little better in their own way.

[and with that, he'll beep her on the nose, lightly, smiling]

Oh that's a...

[Oh no. Oh nooo]

Coppercorn?

He's not the type to eat little old ladies, if that's what you're asking.

[he leans up, looking at it himself.]

People say it's magic.

[there's a teasing smile]

Only if they're not cooked right.

[identity profile] exanimatus.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
It's a very nice one. Even prettier on the inside.

Maybe not wolves, but I bet dragons cook people.

[looking up at the moon again]

My friend Mai had a dragon. [dragon-phoenix-fighter-jet thing] Kagutsuchi would spit out massive fireballs to protect her from the bad guys.

[scratches Duran's ears]

Just like how some wolves are good.

[wooo! Do you like your story + moral?]
