He's propped his feet up on a footrest and he's begun tossing book after book on Halloween, pranking, gags, illusions&magic, and sweet revenge at the empty desk next to him. In a short while this desk grows quite cluttered; the last thing he tosses at it is his journal, and a few words--]

[Alan's looking through the bookshelves himself, but the thumps of books landing on the table catch his attention. He manages to get a glimpse of some of the books - a few about revenge standing out - before hearing Loki speak.

Something tells him that maybe he can put that dissatisfaction to good use - maybe that Dark Shard he's hosting. He smirks.]
