[Jilly doesn't usually head up to the roof of the castle, but tonight's sky is too beautiful to pass up. She didn't bring her coat, so she's shivering slightly from the night's chill, but she has a mug of hot chocolate to keep her hands warm as she watches the streaks of light raining down from the sky]

It's been a long time since I saw a shooting star. Even back home, it's usually too bright in the city to see them.

...anybody else making wishes, tonight?

It is. I believe it, too. Wishing upon stars may sound ridiculous, but it gives me hope for good things.

That's a good idea. Do you think the castle would ever ... ?

Grant these sorts of wishes? Or cause harm?

[a small sigh] Both are tricky. I don't think the castle is evil. Or...if it is, it's not entirely. It does good things as well as bad.

...But I don't trust it.

Yeah. Just from the things I've heard, I was kind of painting a picture of this castle being evil.

I'd be stupid to trust it, right? It's hard. One moment, it's being evil, and the next, it's being ... good.

It's a little like people, in that regard, except you can have an actual conversation with a person.
