It's not surprising how multiversal and multi-linguistic this place is. I'm not sure if it's a good thing that the castle just... fixes this for us or not. I sort of wonder just how much we all would've learned about each other if we had to learn to communicate with each other first.

It also makes me wonder just how accurate the standard language was... I mean, phrases can't be as universal as we imagine them to be. There had to have been some serious misunderstandings that we were never even aware of.

You know I almost hope it doesn't come back. I want time to learn some of the languages I've heard over the journals.

I was actually thinking the same thing. It's odd how little I've thought about putting language training into my daily routine. Whenever I had a business contract, I was always doing something to push myself ahead of the competition. Breaking language barriers was always the first option.

Here... I think I definitely took it for granted.

[and a beat] Are you doing alright? No one you know that you can't talk to now?

I think we all did if this is any indication. And I'm fine. Most of the people I speak with use English or Japanese so I understand them more or less.

What about you?

So far it seems alright. I have a friend that speaks French, but most the people I've met all have a pretty decent understanding of English.

It does seem to be that way. It could just be that English is a lot more common than we realized, as far as... universally speaking.

Could be. Funny, isn't it? The translator goes out for a few days and it just adds to the questions floating this place.
