HOSTAGE RESCUE
[ Now provoked, Arthas, Riful, Legato, Hank, and Joshua have all left the manor. It sits alone, occupied now only by five hostages:
Jaina Proudmoore
Kaylee Frye
Kallen Kouzuki
Maya Fey
Asano Rin
...and their jailers, Billy & Nikola Tesla.
While their wrists and ankles remain boundsans impaling in a similar fashion to last time their location is vastly improved--they've been granted a ballroom-esque room in which to be chained on the main floor.

[[ ooc; Sections: Hostages/Villains | Rescuers | Rescue + Fight (TBA)

shonenspeeches (general plot chat)
If you would like to explore the manor & figure out more about what's there, just toss me an IM @ we were british ]]

[When she sees Spike and Brock moving, she'll follow them along with her own gun in hand. She's not saying anything - silence is always best at times like these.]

He spots a window and crouches next to it while he waits for the other two. Not because he's really thinking about doing this rationally, he's just hoping one of them thought to bring a grenade that he could borrow.]
no subject
He stops on the other side of the window, glancing back for Zoe. Since she and Spike actually carry guns, they'll have to cover whoever goes in first. Barring somebody having some kind of explosive device, of course.]
no subject
You have a plan?
no subject
Spike is paying close attention to what she's got in her hands. Whatever it is, he bets it'll make their job a lot easier. He gives one glance to Brock before responding with a shrug.]
Try not to end up like they did. [Besides, since his last rescue mission went so well, he figures he has this down.] Once we're in, we just have to listen for whoever starts yelling when the explosions go off.
no subject
Straightforward enough.
Whenever you're ready.
no subject
Back.
[That's the only warning you get as she's backing up away from dem charges there]
no subject
When they go off it's not the earth shattering boom he was hoping for, but it does its job. And since he doesn't see anyone immediately running towards them, he doesn't wait for the smoke to clear before moving in. With any luck there aren't any more booby traps for them to run into between there and the hostages.]

And then he dives right in after Spike, dagger in hand in case he needs to stab somebody that gets in their way. But he has the feeling everyone's occupied out front, so with any luck this will go smooth as clockwork.]

The shouts coming from the wall are muted, but loud enough to notice. How about that luck? Spike looks back to see if Zoe's made it in yet, feeling pretty confident about the whole thing despite early setbacks.] You've got any more of those?
no subject
Couple more grenades.
no subject
Speaking of death traps though, this whole thing seemed to be going smoothly. Almost too smoothly. While Zoe and Spike discuss this, Brock just keeps an eye out for anything that may throw a wrench in the general smoothness of the situation.]
no subject
He nods at Zoe -- and you know, probably planning on setting off both of those by the time they leave. For now though, he's trying to focus on the only reason he came and ignore the sounds of something that would be a lot more fun near the entrance. He looks in the direction he heard the shouts instead.]
They really went through a lot of effort to make it this easy.
/threadjacks and excuse my lateness!
Easy, you said?
[How did he get there so fast? VAMPIRE SPEED, THAT'S HOW.]
s'cool bro! \o/
This is ridiculous, but Brock does not waste any time coming up with a clever quip or anything. Instead, he sends a throwing knife toward Compensating McVampire over there, aiming for his hand.]
Re: s'cool bro! \o/
[You know she's just going to raise her gun and fire in the direction of his chest]
no subject
[Tesla moves faster than the eye can see to dodge the knife, and takes the bullets in his chest without even a flinch. Something might tell you that he's not going to be easy to take down.]
[Oh, and totally feel free to notice the explosive projectile heading your way from the bazooka. Because it's kind of hard to ignore.]
no subject
Spike doesn't have time to wonder that long, what with the unnecessarily heavy artillery this guy is packing. (ALWAYS THE BAZOOKAS.) He'll be doing the smart thing and running towards him instead of waiting for that to hit. Which gets him about five hasty steps in before it goes off and surely sends him flying towards the nearest wall -- but after the dust settles, he'll probably have something to say.]

[Rose had been trying to stay out of this, to keep her head down and help out only when absolutely needed - up until Nikola had dared to show his face.
Guess what? She's going to dart around behind him and make a grab for the bazooka. She's older and faster, but atleast he doesn't have her fist through his chest just yet. It looks like she's only trying to disarm him for now]
no subject
He dives and rolls out of the way, which is maybe more graceful than the alternative.]

[Momentarily distracted, he swings the bazookaat her face, trying to knock her out. Just seeing her here is enough to make his blood boil. What right did she have in stopping his plans? Still, he doesn't want to hurt her, though really, she could hurt him just as well.]
[This might be your chance to move, guys.]
no subject
[She darts out of the way when he swings the bazooka. Whatever Rose was, it was clear from the way she reacted to Nikola that she was familiar with him. Very familiar. Honestly, if she had a nickel for every boyfriend she's had that tried to take over the world.
She comes at him again and this time her hands grip the bazooka. She's going to tug very hard and that leaves Nikola with one of two choices. Lose the Bazooka or lose the bazooka and his hands ]
