[Everybody was so serious and angry and honestly, it was freaking Del out a bit, but she was dealing with it as well as she could.

Which, for once, didn't include rocking back and forth in a nearly catatonic state of panic - because Del is nothing if not unpredictable.

Instead, today, she's making a giant web across the lobby. Much like the time map Hiro made in Heroes. But... bigger. And more copmlicated. It also seesms to have an axis that can't really be represnted in three dimensions, so there are bits of string that just skip at random points.]

I don't know how to add the mist... It keeps being too solid...

((ooc: Open open open! Get stuck, be pissed, wonder how she's walking on the ceiling, please have a go with whatever random thing you can think of her doing :D ))

[A little rubber ducky ends up on a string intersection, and she drops some curlycue ribbons from it.]

They make my head itch. Like ants.I gave a man ants, he didn't like them very much at all. I don't like ants either. But they have nice tunnles, I liked their tunnels. Airplanes don't work in them, though...

[She lands next to him, and hands him a string to hold.]

[He'll take the string, having a moment to try and figure out what the heck she just said]

Right. Well. Tunnels are awkward like that.

[She settles a little fern at an intersection of the string he's holding, and then pauses]

can you hear them all talking?

What, the plants?

No, all the whisperings...

...From people?

From books that don't speak and thought that shouldn't be there.

[A sniffle she will deny forever as she works almost frantically.]

Is it bad again?

Things are often bad here, but they get better. You know that.

But is it bad to be yourself again...

[She works on the web nearby, decorating intersections and clambering up threads]

Well, it depends on which myself we're talking about here.

You don't have much more than the one...

[And her scampering isn't the best. She slips in her haste and falls a few web-levels before she manages to catch rather awkwardly on one.]

I think you'd be surprised when I'm concerned.

[A light frown] ...So, what is all of this in aid of?

I can't hear what they're saying. It's crawling everywhere and creepy into cracks and the silence eats away away away...

[She's very upset, and has taken to hiding in corners of her web as much as building anything in it.]

The inquisition hurt.

...Has someone been messing with you? Because you know I won't have that.

They all just tingle in my ears...

Maybe you need to get ear plugs?

Do they block out what you can't hear?

I think that's the point of them, yes.

[An angry huff]

Can you hear them?

I'm going to go with 'no'?

But they all think you're good.

What? Who thinks I'm good? Who's been talking?

[She gives him a sidelong look that clearly says they all know he's not-bad.]

Bet you oculd read the hidden writing.

[He chooses to ignore that look]
