[There's some weird invitation that's been found in his room and despite his caution with his new power, old habits are hard to get rid of so he automatically goes to pick it up and remembers a second later that he'll wind up destroying it...

But it doesn't turn to sand!

Hesitating to feel too relieved, he finds a few remaining non-sand items and tests it out, thrilled to find he isn't dusting anything.]

Uh, so, hey, Hesam here. I'm back to normal. [and he's barely able to contain his glee at that]

I also want to apologize to...anyone with uh, extraordinary 'gifts'. I've probably been really rude to you and I've never tried to understand you and I'm uh, real sorry about that. I didn't know how hard it could be, living with something like that and...I admire anyone who has been able to control their abilities.

Man, I owe you a world of apologies and a lot of thanks. I'm sorry for being a real ass to you. If you need me to do anything for you, lemme know. You're pretty cool for a god.

[grins] Thank you. I'm not really sure where it's going to go, yet, but I really like him. He's a sweet guy. You both are.[she leans in and gives him a kiss on the cheek.]

If I'm going to be running second, I don't mind when it's against Peter. But I'm surprised the guy knows how to socialize.

Partner or not, if he does anything too weird with you, I'll be next in line to knock some sense into him for you. [And he'll duck his head to hide a blush at the kiss.]

And I'll remember that, I'm sure. Although, you may have to fight my sisters for that place in line.

He was pretty bad. He'd harrass people to give him double shifts. The guy was a machine. Never seemed to sleep. Of course, I get now why he was like that. But he never told anyone.

I haven't met your sisters yet. You told me about them when we first met though. [family talks always make him feel uncomfortable, for a number of reasons, one being his actual loss.]

It's not bad, really. I grew up as the youngest, though, so I'm sure that makes a difference.

[quietly] My oldest sister was killed by a demon a few years ago.

We found out later that we had a younger half sister.

That must have been real hard. I couldn't imagine what that musta been like.
