[After waking up in a strange room with no sign of his daughter Jenny, Apollo decided to explore the room to see if he can find any hints of where he is. It doesn't take long for him to discover the journal and flip through it curiously. While flipping through he picks up fragments like 'castle' and 'Paradisa'. It seemed to be the only way of contacting people in the room. Now wasn't the time to be shy. He had his daughter to find.]
Hi. I don’t really know how you’re supposed to start writing these things. Never been the journal writing kind of guy unless you count that Dear Abby letter I wrote one time as a joke. Well, Midnighter thought it was a joke but that’s a whole other story. The bottom line here is I’m looking for my daughter. She’s got long brown hair and brown eyes. She’s eight but she acts like she’s going on thirty. Anyone seen her?
And Jenny, if you’re reading this respond ASAP and tell me where you are. I don’t know what’s going on but I plan to find out.
[That said he closed the journal and carried it with him when he left the room. He wasn't going to get answer any quicker by just sitting around.]
[ooc: Open to any part of the castle you want to find him wandering around.]

[He glances around the stairwell they are in and motions with his hand in, a golden bracelet flashing.]
Your guess will be as good as anyone else's at this point.

[He looks around them, trying to get some kind of feeling off his place. He's been around enough dangerous situations to have a sense for ill intent, but as far as he could tell, it was just a castle. A castle that liked to spirit people away.]
I tend to lean towards worst case scenarios so let's hope not.
[He holds out his hand as an after thought.] I'm Apollo.
no subject
[He shrugged his shoulders elegantly, as if saying he is not sure which one to believe.]
Oh, nice to meet you Apollo. I am Ashura.
[He hesitates a moment and then reaches out with long, elegant fingers and claps Apollo's in greeting, his palm surprisingly calloused.]
no subject
[He smiles.]
It's nice to meet you as well. [He lifts the journal up in his free hand and shakes it a bit.]
So what's the deal with these journals?

Next question, do people ever come in pairs? Like say I was with someone when I was brought here...would that person come to?
no subject
No, I am afraid not. Some of us are here alone from our worlds and some have many friends from theirs, even enemies. It is really up to the discretion of the castle.
no subject
Alright. But there's still a chance right? See, I'm looking for my daughter Jenny. She's eight, brown hair and eyes. About this tall. [He moves his hand to about hip height.]
Can you let me know if you see her around?
no subject
Many of the people here are good at looking out for the children we have. If she shoes up you will sure to hear of it Apollo.
Are you seeking anyone else?
no subject
Have many children been brought here? Alone?
[He looks as if he's about to say something but stops himself.]
No...no one else. [His tone is almost sad.]
no subject
[He catches the pause and his eyes soften a bit.]
Are you sure? They might be here. Even if you fought back in your own world....
no subject
I'm sure. Trust me, the castle would be biting off more then it could chew if it tried to make him do anything. Including being dragged here.
Thanks for all your help; I think I'm going to explore a bit. Any places you suggest I see first?
no subject
Well, why not the kitchens? I thought of heading there for a late breakfast and some tea if you care to join me. Besides, you should not explore this place on an empty stomach.
no subject
Sure, why not? It's probably been awhile since I last ate anything.
[He waits for Ashura to guide the way.]
no subject
Well, you can wish for just abut anything to eat, so do not be afraid to get what it is you most want.
no subject
[His eyebrows raise in bemusement.]
no subject
[He looks back over his shoulder as they descend.]
The castle provides most things for us, but specific things can be wished for - certain clothes, food, entertainment. The castle provides, but over time the wishes accumulate and you will end up paying for them in one way or another.
no subject
no subject
In any way it sees fit. It has already made you pay for coming here, no doubt.
no subject
It drags you here and expects you to pay for the privilege? That's a bit arrogant.
So what kind of payments are we talking about? I'm guessing it's not money.
no subject
For making wishes? Being turned into a child, an animal, or a host of other, crazy things - and believe me, this Castle is creative.
no subject
[He chuckles.] No gender reversal? I've seen myself as a female before. It wasn't exactly pleasant but I think it would be far more bearable then being an animal. But maybe I'm better off not wishing for anything if those losses remain throughout my stay as well.
no subject
Oh, no, gender reversal is possible. My consort recently when through that. Needless to say it was... interesting for him and myself.
[He ducks into a large room filled with refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, ovens, microwaves, pantries, and stoves.]
no subject
[He scratches his head and thought about how much easier things would be if the castle had brought Angie here to. She'd probably have this place figured out in an instant.]
I'm sure that was eventful.
[He follows him into the room and takes a seat at the table.]
So how does this work? Does the castle come supplied with food or do we have to wish for it?
no subject
[As if to demonstrate this he goes quiet and on the table suddenly appears a tray of roasted duck drizzled with a creamy sauce and dash with lemons and basil.]
