[The pages are being flicked and, after a moment, Cloud sighs at the book.]
I guess I should do something with this... seems like everyone else here has...
[He pauses, not certain of what to say or do.]
Uh... can anyone hear me? This is so stupid, I'm talking to a book.
[Another long pause and Cloud seems to finally have something worthwhile to say.]
If anyone can... hear this, can someone explain what the Hell is going on?
[He makes an irritated noise and slams the book shut. This is ridiculous!]

Welcome to Paradisa. You're new here, I take it?
I'm Alan. You might not believe any explanations at first, but...[He trails off.] It's some sort of magic world.

[Well, now... that's not a nice explanation and Cloud makes an irritated noise at it.]
I'm Cloud. [The tone in his voice suggests every kind of annoyed feeling.] What kind of magic world? And how do I get back?

That's the thing - nobody's quite sure. All sorts of people - and talking dogs, ponies, and dragons - appear here, and as far as I know, nobody can tell why. One theory is that it's a 'second chance' of sorts, but even innocent kids find their way here.
I don't know how anyone gets back, either - though at certain points, people will disappear, and their nameplates clear, too. Presumably, they return home.

How did we get here? There has to be a reason for it.

Thankfully, we all look out for each other.

[Katara's voice is soft, sympathetic.]
.. it's a lot to take in at once. But you're safe here, mostly. Try not to freak out.

[He goes quiet for a moment. He actually was freaking out a little there. On the inside.]
Do you know how we got here? Or how to get home?

[Fff. She's usually good at consoling people, but this is such an odd situation.]
Everyone goes home eventually. It's just not - something anyone knows how to do on purpose. But there'll be a room for you in the castle, a place for you to stay.

[He sighs just a bit.]
I don't plan on sitting and waiting until someone finds an answer. I'm gonna start looking tomorrow.

But Weiss doesn't seem to mind being talked to. I think he'd get mad if you wrote in him.

[Well, that name is familiar, even if it's not the same Weiss they're talking about.]
You have a book that talks to you?
