[Oliver is scratching his head. You can't tell that over the journal, but he's been doing it for a while. No, he doesn't have lice... just a puzzlement.]

Has anyone seen a dinosaur around? [Because, now that he thinks about it... Sansa didn't show up after the pirates thing.]

She's small-ish, likes plants... actually knows her name is Sansa. [Brains the size of walnuts, suuure.]

Don't worry, this is non-dinosaur related. I realized that we never got a chance to talk details about the project idea I had for you.

What with all the people showing up and leaving, and then pirate ships...

If you've got some time, I've got a project.

[chuckles at the 'show her' part]

Exactly. I'd like it to power up the locks as well as a few other systems, just in case the castle doesn't take them away. When the place changes, sometimes these locks change with it and I don't actually have the right key for the room - which is crazy, but having an override that's always powered would be good.

[She's still looking at the door, her mind working]

It probably wouldn't hurt it to be portable, or to have some sort of genetic lock so that just anyone can't access it.

As long as it can still function when the castle has no power, I'll be happy to have it.

[She finally looks up from the door]

I think I can make that happen. You said you have some of the crystals? Because I don't know if I'd be able to make something without them.

I do. Actually, I’ve managed to track down a few of them from other residents that have left them behind to others.

I guess - Eliot Spencer set up a lock-box for them and got a lot of people to store them for emergency. When he left, Cordelia told me to put them to good use. So I am, with your help.

[She nods, taking that in]

I'll probably have to run some tests on the crystals first, try and determine what they are capable of before designing any sort of device that runs off of them.

That I can arrange.

[He moves over toward one of the wall cabinets and opens it, pulling out a small box. In the box would be his crystal along with the ones that had belonged to Jo, Bela, and Eliot. If it worked, he'd try to see if he could track down ones from other residents that had left.]

Here are four of them.

[Fred takes the small box, immediately opening it and starting to examine it's contents. Her features light up with curiosity]

I'd only actually heard of these before, I've never been this close.

Well, I'm not really sure what their purpose would be within the castle boundaries, but I know they are able to power things in the Dead Zone.

Do you know if's there anything written, anything at all that's been recorded? Just to help me get started?

There might be something in the journals around the time they showed up. That was... Christmas, I think.

[She nods, clearly focused]

I'll definitely go back through them, see what I can find. I should probably get started...

Well, here. [He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a keycard.]

This is your access card for the tower here, you're free to use it if you need to for testing or whatever you might need it for.

[Fred takes the card, looking at it briefly before sliding it into the back pocket of her jeans]

Thanks, Oliver. I promise to knock. And to get all this sorted out as quick as I possibly can.

You won't need to knock, really. Come and go as you please and take your time.

[Her smile tilts]
