Has anyone seen a dinosaur around? [Because, now that he thinks about it... Sansa didn't show up after the pirates thing.]

She's small-ish, likes plants... actually knows her name is Sansa. [Brains the size of walnuts, suuure.]

Don't worry, this is non-dinosaur related. I realized that we never got a chance to talk details about the project idea I had for you.

What with all the people showing up and leaving, and then pirate ships...

She's an Othnielia, but her name is Sansa. Would you be interested in helping me find her? I've got a friend looking for her in the city, in case she got too far, but I'm trying to cover ground in the castle, too.

Well, what does she look like?

I [there's a pause] have a picture of her for exactly these times.

[he'll paste in a photo of this dinosaur, but not an illustration. Instead it's a picture of her in the middle of four broken flower-pots. It was meant to remind him not to let her do that again, but... well, she's sort of adorable and he can't stay mad at her.]

This is Sansa.

She is quite the trouble-maker though. We had those people breaking into the castle, they tried hard to get into my place. I think all the noise just spooked her. She probably bolted the first chance she got.

I thought she was just being quiet.

So she's like a real... pet?

I'm her second owner. From what I've read in the journals, she was brought back from one of the weird castle change things as a baby. So, she hasn't really known anything except other people.

No dino-play-dates for her, so I think she thinks she's a pet. I'm not complaining, she's actually pretty cool to have around.

[a beat, because he recognized her voice at the start, but how do you ease into HEY I HAVE BEEN REVIEWING ALL OF YOUR ENTRIES...]

You're Caroline, right? The pro-party girl?

Well, I guess that's a new one. I never would've thought--- [She perks up at the mention of him knowing who she is] Yeah, that's me.

[yeahihidmypants]

[He's amused at how easily she could be sidetracked onto herself.]

Any luck with the actual party?

[coy]

There wasn't a lot of interest. [Which is so lame]

You know, there's a girl here, Harmony Kendall. She's been pretty good at throwing events in the past. You might want to talk to her, unless you have an issue with friendly vampires.

I know some people have the whole 'we don't have those here' type instances, so I don't want to put you into a loaded situation.

[Okay, now time to play the part] A friendly vampire?

[No need to play a part, Caroline! :D Ollie, already knows things.]

Yeah, actually a friend of mine was sort of dating her, before he went back home. She's... unique, but not dangerous. In fact, from what I've learned she's worked really hard to become a good person.

Does she... eat people?

[yeahihidmypants]

[he laughs]

You mean like how you thought my dinosaur did?

As far as I know, she's on a no-people diet. [his brow furrows] Though, isn't it just a blood thing? I didn't think it was a cannibal thing.

Well, you know what I mean.

Only from what I've heard, but it does sound a bit misleading. The whole 'eating people' thing.

You'd probably have to ask her, but from what Dick told me she gets all of her blood from the castle and it's all animal variety.

Are you concerned about the vampire population's dietary habits?

[coy]

I just don't want to get eaten or something. That's all.

[yeahihidmypants]

I think sometimes in this place you have bigger things to worry about than the vampires.

[coy]

It's one of a ton of things to worry about.

A ton? Sounds a bit heavy.

Everything okay?

[coy]

Well, like, all the curses or losses or whatever they're called? And being put on pirate ships? Or people leaving.

It can be a lot. I've been here for almost two years. I'd like to say that it gets easier, but it really only helps if you have people you can rely on.

I have friends from home here.

Well, that's good. I mean, it's a good start.

It does make it a bit harder if those are the ones that leave, though.
