[ ☙ARTHAS❧ ]
Arthas. [ A gentle tone as nostalgia overwhelms her senses. ] Summer is my favorite time of the year. Do you remember why that is?
[
[ ☙ALLEYNE❧ ]
I have yet to properly thank you for your kindness during a .. strange time for me. This place surely has been hectic enough, but it is no excuse for my rude manners. You have my gratitude. If there is ever a moment where you require my aid, do not hesitate to contact me.
[ ☙DICTATED❧ ]
Does this castle punish those who seek too much information at once? Shortly after my return from an expedition, I was polymorphed into a ... [ There's hesitation, because this is strange for her to say despite being adept in the realm of arcane magic] ... parrot. While the experience was one of enlightenment, it is one I do not wish to repeat any time soon, if ever.
[Jaina]
No.
[Which really means 'Yes, but we're not gonna talk about it'.][Arthas]
No? [ A teasing reply.
For a brief moment she wonders if it is true. That maybe he is unable to recall the memory. If only she could feign such a naive nature.. ]
A shame. I suppose it is best left unspoken.
[Jaina]
Of course I remember.
[Arthas]
I was afraid for a moment your memory had been tampered with.
[ Because it wasn't as though he would forget because it was her, right? ]
[Jaina]
[Arthas]
[Jaina]
there are plenty of things that were best left forgotten. so time to go back to one of them, because its a better topic than this.]
I remember.
[Arthas]
It is sly, but it is all she can get in this place. ]
After all this time? It does my heart well to hear of it. Tell me, Arthas, do you think of it ever in the slightest?
[Jaina]
I try not to.
[Arthas]
Remember when we were humans and held each other..........]Then I will think of it twice as much in your place.
[ There's a limit and she fears she may have pushed well into it, so she will attempt to swing their conversation into another topic. Time spent with her prince was limited and only left her longing for more.
Drawing it out is the only option permitted. ]
Did you miss me? [ Perhaps that wasn't the best way of going about it. ]
[Jaina]
Before you left or after I did?
[He doesn't give her the chance to answer.]
Lordaeron as you know it has been long dead to me for quite some time -- every last inch of it, down to the last blade of grass I set foot upon after Stratholme's fall.
Those memories have no place in my subconscious. They make me ill.
[The way he says it implies abhorrence, though in truth, they made him ill for another reason entirely.]
[Arthas - slips back into this stupidly late /)_(\ Fooorgive me?]
Remember, I'm the mun who's played vn's. WTC HAS MADE ME THE MASTER OF ELLIPSES...]Myself included?
[ A quiet laugh. She must remain his friend, even if the answer is painful. ]
It suits me just fine, Arthas. [ She thinks of them often enough to make up for their absence in his mind. ]
Jaina
[Gonna be kuudere about this, yup]
Alleyne
That I was. I cannot for the life of me get the taste of lime out of my mouth. [ A soft laugh follows. ] Do you think just anyone would take care of a random parrot they happened across?
Jaina
Ahh, I didn't want you to get sick with that odd disease I heard ravages those at sea, and it was nutritious. One should stay strong, even as a beast, right?
[If Alley knew what keysmashing was she would do a bit here]
You seemed dead-set on sitting on my ear, Jaina. Why would I throw a bird out just for clinging to me? You obviously needed the care.
Alleyne
I jest, I jest. You still exercised great care towards me while I was in that state and therefore, I owe you so much. Were it not for you, I could have gotten ill or even killed.
[ Maybe if this place ever has a Warcraft world change, she could be introduced to the trade channel. That will teach anyone how to keysmash... ]
You are an interesting individual. [ Plus, that ear was quite comfy. ] My insight was well-rewarded with your kindness, was it not? Now I know who it is I can rely on. Just as I hope that you will rely on me in the future if you ever need.
Jaina
I had thought you an animal gravitating to me at first; I'm used to that, but the more it went on, the more something told me that you were one of us. Call it a hunch, but I felt a need to make sure you returned alive extra after.
[It'd be a very fast lesson at least!]
You can tell all that from just one act? I'm just a soldier and instructor, nothing more, I assure you.
[That ear instinctively flicks a bit as she speaks.]
