Anyone that's been wondering when the Lux is gonna open back up, I have an answer for you. Today! Today it's back to... sort of what it was before.

The castle must've finished the repairs while we were all on board those ships. The graffiti though, from while we were gone, we cleaned that by hand and fixed the rest of the minor things that had been done by whoever was messing the castle up.

[She shakes her head, making a soft sound] Sorry, I'm sure most of you don't care how it got fixed, as long as it's fixed.

One thing, at least for the time being, is that I don't have a cook. I can do most the easy stuff, but for today I'm actually going to call a "Grilling Only" rule. If the calendar I keep is right - it's the Fourth and no one in their right mind actually cooks on a stove today.

As long as I can stick it on the grill, you can order it.

[there's the sound of light tapping, the tip of her ring finger hitting the surface of the bartop]

Oh! Before I forget, is there anyone in the castle that knows a lot about art, has some free time, needs a job, and can easily get to the city?

I do have a position open, mostly because now that the Lux is back open I can't split my time as easily, and her name was Sophie.

Sophie... [he'll have to remember that name.] Well, I suppose I can drop by sometime soon to meet you. When are you free?

Well, I'm here at the Lux for the rest of the day. You could drop by here to meet me. [because she won't just give the job to someone she has only spoken to]

If I can get Max to watch the bar for a bit, then we can head over the gallery. [See, this way if this person doesn't seem to add-up, Max can just feign "too busy" and Jo'll reschedule. To never!]

[Not what she was expecting at all, but then again she shouldn't be surprised given the castle]

Oh! [Still in shock by the "holyshit you are probably twelve-ness" going on]

It's nice to meet you too, I'm Jo. [moves from around the bar to shake his hand.]

[he gets that a lot. hey, technically and for all intents and purposes, he's 18 right now!]

[stares at the hand a bit before shaking it. you strange western types. o.o] Name's Joshua. I'll be fine, thanks.

[Hand shake! She'll gesture over to a nearby booth and takes a seat.]

So, you know a lot about art? Did you study it in school?

[sits :)] You could say that. I've been studying art on my own for quite a while, although I've never had experience as a curator before.

Well, I don't think many of us planned to do half the things we end up doing in this place.

True. Which leads us back to the question at hand, of course...?

If you want to give it a shot this week, we can see how things go. I'll keep an ear out for other people, too, just because I'm sure you don't want to do this every single day of the week.

[ahahaha] I appreciate the thought, but really, does it look like I have anything better to do with my time?

Well, [she does seem slightly amused] you say that now, but we'll see how things go.

There's one other person that I think might be interested, so we might just split the week up.

[a smirk] Works for me. I don't suppose there'll be a meet and greet once you've made your decision?

Do you know Nora? She's an artist here in the castle.

Afraid I haven't, but she sounds lovely already.

Well, I'll see if I can get in touch with her and if she is interested, then we'll get the two of you introduced.

For now, if you want to come in tomorrow? I close at the Lux tomorrow, so I'll be at the gallery in the morning.

Roger that. You're quite the busy bee, aren't you?

[she smiles]

A bit, but that's what happens when people go home. It's actually keeping my mind off of a lot of other things, so I think it's good.

But still, running a restaurant and a studio at the same time? Not a lot of people have your initiative.

Well, I wasn't running the studio until recently and it actually timed perfectly with the bar getting destroyed. So I only had to focus on one at a time, but now they're both open.

It's... it's not too bad. The gallery has light hours and I'm one of those people that can get along with very little sleep.

[Would you be interested in doing a log to get Nora and Joshua to meet? I can put it up, if you're both interested. I haven't heard from Nora writer yet.]

Without a single drop of coffee? Lucky you.

Oh, there's coffee. Not a lot of it, but enough to make sure I don't collapse in between projects.
