[Billy gives Barney a weary-looking wave, and goes to say something, but an apprehensive whine from Molly cuts him off. She drops her crayon and nervously clambers up into the couch and into Billy's lap before he can really do much about it. She's looking at Barney like he's some kind of daddy-face-stealing ghost]

[he makes a show of shuffling the pile up again, getting fancy with it and everything. then, he flicks the deck, and holds it up to his ear, as though he's listening. slowly, he pulls a card out and holds it up to her]
