It has been long since last we spoke. How have you fared?
[Felix]
You need not answer me if it will be difficult for you. However, it would put my heart at ease to hear how you have fared since last we met.
[Deathwing]
[There is a small bouquet of roses outside your door, delivered via castle ghost-no note or anything. Do with them as you will; she has made her point. And yes, she's perfectly aware that your room was invaded recently; it's why she figures you'll be keeping an eye on it.]
[One of the few benefits of this place was the borrowed time with her granddaughter. So, it should be no surprise that Galadriel once again finds herself wandering up to Arwen's room. When she gets there, however, she is met by a blank name plate.
She just stares for a moment, waves of emotion washing over her- sorrow, relief, anxiety about what Arwen will face in their own world. Eventually, she opens the journal and dictates in a voice devoid of sentiment; whatever she's feeling, she's not about to broadcast it to the entire castle.]
The Lady Arwen Undómiel has been returned to her home. [There's a long pause] It is for the best. I would like to personally extend my gratitude to all who showed her hospitality and kindness while she was here. I cannot thank you enough for making her stay a little less trying.
[And now you can find her under Alexstrasza's tree, brooding thinking. Bother her if you want, but she's feeling a little melancholy.]

You do me a great honor.
<3
Milady, I would say it's the other way around. We - and the castle - are honoured to have you here.

I cannot say that I am pleased to be here. Yet while I am, I will do what good I may. If I have been of some comfort to you, then I am glad of it.

There are many things going on, worrying things. The dragon... and the people disappearing in town.

Filtered to Galadriel
So have I, mostly regarding the town. There are also some news about people living outside the castle.
Marian
I confess my attention has been more focused on the dragon; it is unsettlingly familiar to me.
You speak of the allegation that we are being watched and measured. [Even if she doesn't comment, she pays very careful attention to the journals.]
Galadriel
So you have encountered dragons before, milady? And how do matters fare with the dragons here?
I do speak of that. Putting it all together, it seems to lead to the same source.
Marian
Long ago, in the First Age of my world, dragons proved a great threat to my kind. I was fortunate enough to have avoided such an encounter, but I remember well the devastation they wrought. Yet not all the dragons here are creatures akin to those of my memory and a number of them stand against the threat posed by one of their own. It appears to be, for the moment, a delicate dance of speech and observation.
And what are your thoughts on the matter, lady? [That she's even asking is a compliment. It means she thinks you may have insights of your own.]
Galadriel
I'm sorry to hear that your home went through that, milady.
My thoughts are that most of it seems to lead to the woman called Riful. What happens if she contacts this dragon also? If those who want to hurt join forces, we who wants to protect must make sure to stand even stronger.
[Marian speaks rather too little than too much, she is far from dead sure of her conjecture.]
Marian
I do not know as much as I would like on that subject. [Hmm. A thoughtful pause] The goals of this dragon might not be conductive to forming allies, at least those who would think themselves his equal. Nonetheless, it is all the more reason to remain vigilant.
[She respects that. She almost always knows more than she says.]
Galadriel
We must indeed be vigilant and united.
[Marian can somehow feel that she is understood, even if she finds it hard to formulate her worries and her wish to do her part within a team. The feeling leaves her happy and peaceful.]
Marian
[She is indeed understood. It is an attitude shared by many that Galadriel highly esteems.]
Galadriel
[If Marian wasn't so awed by Galadriel, she'd fully express her love and gratidtude... But she can feel that Galadriel already knows. ♥]
Marian
Galadriel
I have been taught to fight, which is uncommon among women in my land. I was an only child and always fond of playing like a boy. I was also an unmarried heiress and being able to fight meant that I could fend off men who wanted to kidnap me for marriage. I've learnt combat, sword fight, archery and fight with staff, and I'm training daily. These skills proved useful back home, though rarely in the way my father had hoped.
Marian
I see. It is much the same in my world; the situation should be dire indeed before elven women would march into battle. Yet I myself have some skill with sword and bow, though it has been long- many lifetimes of men- since I have had to put them to use. My aid comes in a different form.
Galadriel
Are you a peacemaker, milady?
Marian
I would I could claim such a title, but the Enemy I face at home is not one who may be negotiated with.
Galadriel
[Marian herself was under castle arrest for a year, a time she used for spying and manipulation. There are memories from that time that still makes her feel uncomfortable, but she has been given the chance to put those things right here in Paradisa, something she is very happy about.]
Marian
[...You say that like spying and manipulation are bad things. It's kind of what she does now. The puppetmaster behind the scenes.]
Galadriel
[...only that Marian's spying put herself and others at risk, broke her own and others' hearts, led to her death and finally her own disillusion, aie! It's really a good thing that Paradisa allows her to put it right... even if she'll probably end up spying and manipulating again, but hopefully with a more mature outlook.]
Marian
[Damn. See, that's the benefit of being able to spy simply be looking into the minds of others.]
Galadriel
[And FEAR - sorry, Monty Python trying to break in. Man, being psychic is SO much better in spying. Making up your mind between two men is also a lot better, plus having a more moderate admiration of Richard the Lionheart. She'd better swing that sword and leave the spying to Galadriel. ;-) ]
Marian
[Monty Python is always welcome. And, man, Marian, what is your life?]
