[Sanji isn't sure of a lot of things, but not having fallen asleep in some sort of restaurant, well, that's... that's something he's sure he didn't do. His face had been firmly planted into a counter top, and he's sitting on a stool, and his back HURTS, DAMN.

And it looks like it's not just him that's waking up in this place.]

...Huh? Oi, what the hell's going on now?!

[ooc: Open, herp. Uhhh probably not for journal use, since we'll just be reading Paradisa: The Comic Book. Feel free to threadjack in this post if you want some generalized 'wtf diner' threadage.]

How's about some apple pie, eh? With vanilla ice cream?

Just premade ones in here. I can dig around and see what ingredients we got here, though...

[In he goes, to the freezer of doom!]

[If you see a light at the end, run away from it!]

Premade's fine if there's nothing else.

[But that's where the ice cream is!]

I'd have to improvise, so this is for the best.

[Out of the freezer again! Now, how's he gonna defrost this pie...?]

[Do not ask this one. She'll either burn the kitchen down or successfully blow up the microwave. Again.]

[...Time to get creative with the grill.]

I'll have this warmed up in no time! Let's just get this started, and...

[Back to the freezer to get ice cream, yeah!]

[While he's buried in the freezer, she considers the "warmed up in no time" and the grill]

He planning on kicking it too?

[Luckily for her, no such theatrics. This puppy's heated with gas, and doinking around with enough kitchens in Paradisa has taught Sanji, gasp, how to use technology. With ice cream fetched, he fires that puppy up!

She's lucky she's become friends with the one (male) member of this crew with half a brain.]

Alright, just need to make sure the heat here stays even, carefully now...

[Casually standing up and sitting on a box. At the other side of the kitchen. You know. Just in case.]

[This lack of confidence in his abilities is-- well, unnoticed, and wouldn't be commented on in any way except trying harder!!

Luckily, pie doesn't need to be flambe, so once it's nice and toasty he gets that stuff off the burner, expertly slices out a generous chunk, and tosses it on a plate with a big ol' scoop of vanilla. One spoon later, it is graciously presented!]

[Takes experimental bite. It's good. She gives a thumbs-up and finishes it though not with the same enthusiasm as before.]

[He doesn't watch her eating, thankfully for all decency, but busies himself cleaning the dishes like a good guy!]

You're welcome. I'll make you a real pie when we're back at the castle, nothing frozen like this!

[She grins in delight.]

How come there can't be someone like you in Gotham?

Perhaps their is! My soul is strong enough to cross all dimensions, and... and when you return, it shall accompany you there!
