[ town filter ]
[ despite all the talk and the disappearances occurring in the town, uru hadn't stopped working till closing time at her job. if anything, they needed people to take some of those shifts because some of her own co-workers had changed their schedule around so they were working in the morning. it didn't bother her; they were scared obviously.
it... was a scary thought.
luckily, she lived close to her workplace so uru didn't need to think too much about it. she stepped up to her door and stretched her arms before she began digging into her pockets.
funny... she wasn't hearing a jingling sound... nor did she feel her keys in her pocket. oh... oh, crap. after another few minutes of searching her other pockets and her bag, she found nothing. she had lost her keys again? :/ and she couldn't go back to work because it was closed. it wouldn't re-open until 8AM.
with a glance in the castle's direction, uru sighed and starts off that path. ]

[Just... tenses up a little. He sounds... ashamed of it actually. Wishes he could do something but the coin and Two-Face would never let him. He's so... weak. Brushes a hand through his hair]
Sorry. [He should stop apologizing...] Will you let me check your head now?
no subject
You don't have to do this!
no subject
I won't. He will...
no subject
But you can stop him, can't you?
[ this is crazy. ]
no subject
Please... Will you let me check your head...?

[He's actually... surprisingly delicate, turning her head a little and brushing her hair out of the way. After a moment, he draws a kerchief out of his jacket and touches it to her temple...]
Does that hurt...?
no subject
this guy had multiple personalities. it was like something out of a crime show and she was living it now.
she wonders... if maybe someone would hear her if she started yelling. ]
A... bit.
no subject
[Folds the kerchief away again] You should be fine... I don't think he managed to give you a concussion.
no subject
Um...

[Coin flip! And still not quite looking at her: ] Hmm...?
no subject
truth be told, however, she was concerned and curious about his appearance. ]
What happened to... [ trailing off immediately. maybe this wasn't a bright idea. ]
no subject
[But he... smiles weakly to himself when he hears that. He's... so used to people just... knowing. It's weird to think anyone is unfamiliar with the story]
My face? You can say it, you know... [Clears his throat, and rolls the coin over his knuckles] Um... it was... acid. Awhile ago.
no subject
acid.
holy... ]

Don't worry. It doesn't hurt anymore... [Except maybe sometimes when it's psychosomatic... but that's not important lksdf]

I don't have a choice.

It's not just him. [It's fate too... Flips the coin...]
no subject
but nope, not buying any of this yet. ]
You're going to try and kill a boy! [ killing is wrong enough but can't he see that's more than screwed up? ]
no subject
no subject
after a long pause. ]
Then... he's [ she says that carefully ] going to kill me, right?
no subject
You've got just as much a chance as anyone else.
no subject
that actually does sink into her head and she pales slightly. ]
