4. Gone Fishing

Marian has promised to take Cain Knightlord fishing. The man loves fish, but has never caught one in his life? This must be remedied. Guy of Gisborne might come along, anxious to stretch his currently wolfish legs. Will there be fish in the pond or must they use castle magic and wish for them? Will they even catch any? Do you want to join in? Fishing, chatting, watching, have a picnic? Please do!

It's a fine day and the water is calm as a mirror. Perfect for fishing.

[Ignoring her for a moment, it takes a second before he starts and realises she must be talking to him.]

Oh... No, I'm sorry. I'm his twin, Cain.

Ahh. Haha... Cain. Good! I'm Marian!

[Hiding embarrassment by going over, extending her hand and grinning from ear to ear. At closer inspection, she sees that they don't have the same hair colour. She will remember that.]

[Giving her a beaming smile, he shook her hand warmly.]

Miss Marian, my fishing tutor!

Ah, wha- just Marian, please!

[Smiles and shakes and blushes, oh my.]

Fishing tutor, me! Well, I did get a few things... fishing rods. Hooks, baits and fishing lines. Heres a long rod for you, since you're a tall man.

[Hands him the rod.]

[Taking the rod, he pretends to cast the line and promptly gets it tangled around his legs.]

AHHH!

Oooops!!! Just a moment... Stand still!

[She bends down to untangle him, and her dog Wheely comes running, eager to help or be in the way.]

[Flailing, he falls on his ass with an oomph.]

Haha... ha... Oops.

Oh dear... [Can't help giggling, Wheely the dog runs around sniffing.] Wait to cast the line until we're by the pond. I'll show you then. I'll admit, these modern rods ae far more advanced than anything I've ever used.

Modern rods? What did you use?

Pliant sticks, most of the time. Whittled a bit, if necessary. But I think these are better, once you get the hang of it.
